We’ve got some new punky potatoes in the house 🥔🐕‍🦺
You’ll be seeing a lot more of these two… This was their very first training session with me, and we started with Spot. And let me tell you—these two are little rockstars! Great food drives, smart little cookies, and catching on QUICK They’re already starting to understand the game, and you can see how much they love to work. Also… names are not officially locked in yet 👀 So obviously I need some help here… Drop your name suggestions ⬇️

@Amanda Taulborg I just saw a reel for a local animal shelter and the dog’s name was Blooper and I laughed because with him wrapping a toy around himself he is Blooper😂
Happy Mother’s Day 🌸🐾
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there — human moms, dog moms, animal moms… all the moms! 💕 I hope this video makes you smile — it definitely made me laugh 😂 LOL. Baby puppies sure are a lot of work… but they’re also a whole lot of laughs!🐶 Wishing you a day full of puppy cuddles, happy memories, and at least a few moments where nobody is chewing on something they shouldn’t be 😂🐾

Summer boots/shoes?
Saffy needs some hot weather boots/shoes. 🥵☀️🔥 Wondering what boots you have experience with or recommend. We were thinking vented to help keep her cooler. We are looking at WAGWELLIES® MOJAVE on wagwesr.com They look easy to go on and the higher “ankle” looks like it would help keep them on. Does that high rubber “ankle” cause friction sores or does their fur protect them? Do their feet slide in them if they get wet (rain or sweat)? Are there similar ones we missed? Is a breathable mesh better? Thank you!!😊

@Anissa Stark I believe it is 50% off, it’s a great deal as long as you don’t care about colors.

We talked about RexSpecs in the thread and I think I told you guys I would lyk when they had a Mystery Sale - it starts tomorrow for 4 days, all sales final, you get what you get as far as color but it is a good deal if you don’t care about colors 😊
🐶 Real Talk- Public Access Training 😂
Every time I’m out training a dog in public, people always ask questions. And you’d think it would be the two questions businesses are legally allowed to ask about service dogs: • Is that a service dog? • What tasks do they perform? But nope. Not even close. The #1 question I get — by far — is… 🎤 “Can I pet that dogggg?” 😂🐾 So now I’m curious 👀👇 When you’re out in public with your dog, what are the top 3–5 comments or questions you hear the most? Drop them below — I wanna see if the answers are universal or if you’ve got some interesting ones 😆🐕‍🦺

When we puppy raised - can I pet your dog, what kind of dog, how long did it take to train him because he is so good/my dog needs help and we would of course refer them to John K9 and ASA 😊 When I have Mingo out and about - can I pet your dog, what’s his name, what kind of dog, what are the googles for, can I give him a treat

@Amanda Taulborg can I take a picture for sure!!!! Mingo is known as Goggle Dog around here and when we go through a Drive Thru, alllllll the employees come with their phones for pix. I’m good as long as the don’t get me in the frame 😂

Some dogs don’t just like their favorite toy — their reward system lights up when they play with it. That dopamine hit is why toys can be such powerful training rewards for certain dogs. When it comes to training, the three primary ways I reward are: • Food • Verbal + physical praise (voice, touch, connection) • Toy rewards Not all dogs are motivated the same way. Some have a much higher toy drive than others, and while toy drive can be built, certain breeds naturally lean into it more — Labs especially tend to have strong toy motivation. For my crew: 🔴 Padfoot’s favorite toy = the red Kong Frisbee ⭕ Ginny & Arly’s favorite toy = the rubber rings ⚽ Griz’s favorite toy = a ball The goal isn’t to force one reward — it’s to use what your dog finds most rewarding to make training extra fun! 👇 Your turn: What’s your dog’s favorite toy, and will they work for it? 🐾

My dog is weird with toys. He doesn’t really have a favorite to play with, he likes his Yeti and Lambchop when he sleeps and occasionally he will go grab a toy and just bring it in the room with us but he isn’t really motivated by them. We toss toys in the yard and sometimes he goes and gets them and other times he just looks at me like you did it, you go get it 🤷‍♀️ Food and physical praise are Mingo’s thing for sure
