Dinner time
Most of the days this week I had dinner before it got dark (insuline sensitivity is much higher during daytime!)

You really do learn something new every day!

@Navdeep Rajpal my schedule is very informal. There is no formula. I respond to posts that catch my eye. I never knew that light had an impact on insulin!
What does staying healthy and independent mean for you?
For me it is state of mind, mobility, and capability!

It probably means different things at different stages of life 😊 Now that I’m 71, it’s all about maintaining my strength, balance, stamina and general mobility 😊
Hello from Ireland 😊
I’m delighted to be here 😊 I co-founded Horse’s Connect in 2014 to provide equine assisted services to children, teens and adults experiencing a range of physical, intellectual, mental health, and other challenges.🐴 We then set up Horses Connect Training to run accredited training courses in equine assisted services for experienced horse people who were also passionate about how horses help us to be better humans 🐴 Everything we do is built on the basis that our horses are equal partners in the work we do - and never tools or props! Every day we see how horses connect us to our true value and full potential in a unique and powerful way 😊 My favourite part of the work - and my strength - is coaching coaches in equine assisted personal development. I also love designing and delivering equine assisted personal development programs 😊 My Post-grad in Mental Health Promotion, and studies in Mindfulness and Personal Development gives me a keen interest in - and understanding of - positive mental health 😊 On Skool, we’re just starting out 🐴 Our plan is to inform and educate horse people interested in becoming involved in this very special work 🐴 We’re actively working on a license too 😊 The group is free for now and there’s only one low cost course in there - everything else is free 😊 There’s lots more on the way so , if this is something you’re interested in, you can now join free as a Foundation Member 🐴 https://www.skool.com/horses-connect-training-7883/about?ref=a79ca68026684d43a3a2e21e31e04c2e

@Stephen Mooney and you 😊
What change(s) have you made that had a big impact on your health and fitness?
I will kick-off! I did a one week fast (doctor supervised), I had abouit ~250 calories a day and some supplements. After the fast I went onto a FODMAP diet for 4 weeks and then slowly re-introduced different foods. Result: No more IBS even after caffeine, general better feeling of wellbeing, dropped a couple of KG in the process and didn't see any decline in the following benchmarks; 5km timed run, bike FTP, back squat and bench press.

@Stephen Mooney not really 🤣 I saw my younger friends and siblings just give in to aging and I refuse to believe we can’t help ourselves stay physically healthy and fit for as long as possible 😊 We just need to be more proactive about it as we get older 😊

@Stephen Mooney I’m still kicking ass 🤣 At the moment, I’m in Australia with my grandkids and I can join their fun rather that watching from the sidelines like their other Nana 😊
