I'm not sure if 2027 and 2028 D1 recruits understand how devastating this new ruling could be for their recruiting!! The new NCAA "5-for-5" rule is a game-changer, and not in the way most parents think. It’s a massive roster clog. Coaches are going to keep 23-year-old "Super Seniors" who already know the system and know how to win games over a 17-year-old freshman they have to teach from scratch. Recruiting is math. If you’re sitting on a verbal commitment, your spot just got a lot less secure. If the seniors aren't leaving, there is no room for you. Period. I have talked to a few D1 head coaches and we all agree on the interpretation of this ruling, although the details still remain murky. What are your thoughts?
