The slash in the one on the right feels divisive to me, like a big "divided by" slash. Of course, I have WAY too much math background for a reasonable person! The one on the left feels "friendlier" to me.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. Anything by Brandon Sanderson, actually. If you want a Brandon Sanderson starter book (and something much shorter and more accessible that stands alone), I recommend Tress of the Emerald Sea. He writes fantasy and his characters and world-building are *chef's kiss*. The Way of Kings is first in a very large set of novels, and I will say he writes characters with mental health challenges better than anyone I've ever known. Every one of his main characters is struggling with something, but it's not what defines them and they're not "heroic despite their challenges" in a condescending way. It's just part of who they are.
