⚡️ Content Challenge HW
I officially HATE content! I spend way too much effort on this 💩 and it’s still super rigged and 🗑️ but it’s done. See the final edited version here

I hear you, Jason. I hate making content too. This is a great start though man. Just keep going. You're just gonna keep getting better and more comfortable the more that you do it. I've been making content for two years now and I'm still learning and improving every week.

@Cindi Holland honestly I just made myself do it. I was full of fear, anxiety, self-doubt, worried what people would think about me. My first couple of videos were horrible and I was so scared to post them that I honestly sweat through my clothes. I just kept doing it and putting myself out there.

It seems like so many of the posters here are new to some degree. They either just began (and going through the Goosify classroom) or they're a few months in on their communities. The energy of the newbies is amazing - don't get me wrong. But I want to hear from some of the OG's. Were you ever on the verge of quitting your community? Maybe you felt like the effort you were putting in wasn't getting the results you hoped for. What was one thing that made you decide to stay? What turned the corner for you and what does your community look like today?

I’ve only been on Skool for about 7 months, but I’ve definitely had that feeling a few times over the last couple months. Usually it comes after burnout and exhaustion. That voice creeps in like, “What’s the point of all this? Why am I putting so much work into this?” and part of me just wants to burn everything down. 😅 But then I remind myself that I’m building something real here, and real things take time. We plant the seed first. We don’t plant a seed and expect fruit the next day. You water it, protect it, stay consistent, and trust the process while it grows underground where nobody can even see it yet. Honestly, I think wanting to quit is pretty normal when you care deeply about what you’re building. In my experience, when you hang in there through that phase, that’s usually when the breakthrough comes or something shifts right after it. So now when those thoughts hit, I try not to make emotional decisions. I just keep showing up and playing the long game.
Community engagement and member posting
See this is not my community, but I’m posting a question in it. So my question is, how do YOU encourage people to make posts in your community as opposed to just commenting on posts that you make?? I say this because I feel like my community members as they don’t understand or maybe don’t feel invited or possibly feel insecure about making their own posts.. It really is a curiosity for me.

Good question. I think everyone wonders about this at some point. I've only been running my community for seven months, but I've noticed engagement goes up and down no matter what you do. I tried weekly prizes, monthly giveaways, leaderboard competitions. All the stuff people say works. What I found was that chasing engagement pulled me out of integrity. I started posting for likes instead of value. And the prizes brought out the worst behavior. People were posting just for points, spamming the feed, and it turned other members off. I killed all of it. No more prizes. No more leaderboard chases. Now I'm just focused on being intentional with what I post. Real insights. Real questions. Leading by example instead of trying to game the system. My engagement dropped hard after I made the switch. But the people who do show up now are actually engaged. They're not here for points. They're here because the content matters. I think that's the trade. You can have high engagement from people chasing prizes, or real engagement from people who care. You can't have both. The other piece is the comments. Engagement isn't just about getting people to post. It's about starting real conversations in the replies. Ask questions that matter. Show people you're actually reading what they wrote. That's where the real connection happens.

@James Reynolds and @Jason Scott are teaming up for this Blitz. 🚀 Two Okies (...maybe co-hosting some bad-ass IRLs soon) Two builders (creating value and connection) 🧱 Two communities in motion (and on mission) ⚡ We’re not coming in with a perfect plan or some polished pitch deck. We’re showing up to meet good people, build momentum, support other Skoolers, and see what happens when people actually take action together. 🤝🔥 @James Reynolds is building around legacy, family, and helping people protect what matters most. 🛡️🌳👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 @Jason Scott is building around community, automation, faith, and helping people recover time while Robots Mow. 🤖🍀🌎 Different lanes. Same energy. ⚡ We’re here to make real connections, learn fast, have fun with it, and root for everybody brave enough to build in public. 📈💥 Stick around to see us Build - Fail - Learn - Correct - and - WIN 🏆

Back for Blitz 🔥
Last round hit me harder than I expected with losing my mum. I had to step back and be where I needed to be, and I’m glad I did. But I’m coming into this one differently — grounded, focused, and ready. This time I’m teaming up with @Gage Messner and we’re going all in. If you’re in Blitz this month, come say hi, get involved, and let’s make it count 💪
