🌍 What’s Your Mother Tongue? 👀
Quick question for everyone here… I’m guessing most of us (maybe everyone except @Sal Di Giallonardo 😄) are not native English speakers. So I’m curious.... What’s your mother tongue? Drop it in the comments 👇 Let’s see how global this community really is 🌎✨

@Pradeep Jayatilaka Learning a new language is difficult. English is hard for me because I am still A1–A2. I speak arabic french and a little english.

Quick pronunciation check for the community today 👇
A lot of English words look the same on paper…but sound different depending on whether they are a noun or a verb. PERmit = nounYou need a permit. perMIT = verbThey don’t permit smoking here. PROduce = nounThis store sells fresh produce. proDUCE = verbThey produce excellent results. PROgress = nounYou’re making real progress. proGRESS = verbYou will proGRESS with daily practice. This is one of the reasons pronunciation matters so much. It is not just about sounding better. It helps you understand the meaning faster and speak more clearly. 👉Now your turn:Have you seen other words like this in English? Drop one in the comments, or write your own sentence with permit, produce, or progress.👇👊

❓Q&A Lesson – Tomorrow
Tomorrow we have our free Q&A lesson in the community 🙂 This is your chance to ask me anything about: - pronunciation - phonetics / IPA - difficult sounds - connected speech - words you never feel sure about - confidence when speaking English - To make the lesson even more useful, try to prepare one or two questions before we meet. And if you want, you can already write your question here in the comments 👇 That way: - I can prepare better examples - other members may have the same doubt - and we can make the session more useful for everyone No question is too small or too basic. Sometimes the best lessons start with one simple doubt. See you tomorrow!
