Thank you, Mr. @Goose Dunlavey
Onboarding tips please
Hello ๐Ÿชฟers, Iโ€™m setting up my community and donโ€™t want any olโ€™ boring onboarding. I want one that reaches out and hugs the person. If anyone has accomplished this, will you share your tips? Pretty please with a ๐Ÿ’ on top

I have an auto DM now. Looking for ways to zap their emails/SMS # a welcome sequence (I get via their questions upon asking to join). I have a welcome post and a "start here" classroom.
Should I Listen to My Gut Feeling?๐Ÿ’ซ
Do you remember ever saying to yourselfโ€ฆ โ€œI knew this would happen.โ€ Not proudly. But with that tightening in your chest. Almost painfully. You sensed it early. Long before the evidence lined up. Long before the discussions. Before you gathered opinions. Before you took that one stepโ€ฆ the one that turned out to be costly. And you overruled it. Most people believe bad decisions happen because they lacked information. Thatโ€™s rarely true. More often, the information was there. What was missingโ€ฆ was trust. โšก Trust in the signal you chose to ignore. That internal sense we call a gut feeling doesnโ€™t perform. It doesnโ€™t persuade. It doesnโ€™t build a case. It arrives complete. ๐Ÿ’ซ Clear. Direct. Uncomfortable in its certainty. And because it doesnโ€™t justify itself, we interrogate it. So we delay. We overanalyze. We look outward for confirmation. We override. Only to regret it later. Then months passโ€ฆ and life unfolds almost exactly along the line that first signal pointed toward. And thatโ€™s when it hits. โ€œI knew it.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ช Hereโ€™s where it becomes unsettling: If you keep overriding that sense, youโ€™re not becoming more rational. Youโ€™re training yourself to weaken your ability to recognize precision โ€” the voice of truth every one of us carries. Every time you silence it, you reinforce the belief that your own clarity is unreliable. And the real loss isnโ€™t just the opportunity you missed โ€” even though you paid for it. ๐Ÿซข Itโ€™s self-trust. You begin hesitating in moments where you already know. You start deferring to voices that donโ€™t carry your consequences. You blur the line between anxiety and intuition because youโ€™ve conditioned yourself to doubt the difference. Thatโ€™s how drift begins. And then it expands. Biggerโ€ฆ and biggerโ€ฆ and biggerโ€ฆ Not because youโ€™re unintelligent โ€” even though that word stings. But through gradual self-abandonment. Until doubt becomes louder than knowing. Here is the truth: Intuition is not emotion. Emotion rises and falls. ๐ŸŒŠ

The Power of Just Showing Up

Sounds too simple, right? But after organizing over 500 events in San Francisco, I can tell you MOST people don't do it. They talk about throwing parties. They plan. They dream. They make excuses. But they don't SHOW UP consistentlyโ€ฆ. Showing up means going to that networking event even when you're tired. Following up with that venue owner even when they haven't responded. Throwing that next party even when the last one was rough. In nightlife and in business, CONSISTENCY beats talent every time. The people who last aren't the most skilled. They're the ones who KEEP SHOWING UP when everyone else quits. One of my early mentors told me: "Half the battle is just being there." He was right. โ€ฆ.๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฎ๐ฉโ€ฆ. They say being fit is 80% what you eat, only 20% working out. And that ratio applies to so many things in life. It's the little things over and over. And Wow, 500 events! Kudos!!
