Have you noticed the giant leaps in AI models?
Hey everyone! Have you been keeping up-to-date with the latest generation of AI models? If you HAVEN'T, then I recommend checking them out - they are insane to be honest - I'm talking Claude Opus 4.5, Gemini 3.0, GPT 5.1 etc. Has huge implications for how we will work in the future. I'm just figuring out the best workflows for implementing these models in Fabric workflows, I'll share more of my thinking and research in the following weeks/ months, but I'm interested - have you been keeping up-to-date with the LLM updates? Have you been thinking about how to integrate into Fabric - let me know what you've found so far!

Ever since I tried Google AI studio and Gemini I am using it daily. I vibe-coded my IMDB fabric demo with it. It remembers a lot like it remembers things I asked about 2 weeks ago. I don't follow news about other models. I don't remember why or when during last year but I bought a lot of Google shares as well.
❓ How are you using Variable Libraries? (If at all!)
Hey community! Are you using the Variable Library in Fabric?! I'm doing some research for a future YouTube video, and it would be great to open up a bit of a discussion around how you're using them so far, considering they are now Generally Available! What use cases are you using them for? Any tips to share about how you set them up? Or perhaps you're using the REST API endpoints for variable libraries for more advanced use cases? Any experience, big or small, would be useful to know about - so please share below! 👇👇👇

I have a shared notebook calle utils. vl = notebookutils.variableLibrary.getLibrary("Deployment_Var_Lib") def ws_context(): workspace_name = vl.workspace_name bronze_lh_name = vl.bronze_lh_name silver_lh_name = vl.silver_lh_name gold_lh_name = vl.gold_lh_name print(workspace_name) print(bronze_lh_name) print(silver_lh_name) print(gold_lh_name) and in another cell I have: workspace_name = vl.workspace_name bronze_lh_name = vl.bronze_lh_name silver_lh_name = vl.silver_lh_name gold_lh_name = vl.gold_lh_name This way I can use these variables to construct the abs path.
Major changes to DP-600 certification from November 15 onwards
Lot of changes coming to the certification from November onwards and few topics have been deleted like Pyspark is gone but KQL has been introduced https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/resources/study-guides/dp-600

Thanks for the info! I am planning to take it on Monday and already spent a lot of time on Spark and about zero time on KQL.

I passed it today. The coding questions were easy, I can prepare for some spark with your 30 days of Spark videos but it would be more difficult to prepare for KQL questions.
DP-600 Passed !
I passed DP-600 today... A huge thanks to this community and to you @Will Needham ! Your support and guidance have been invaluable... Thank you all for being such a fantastic source of knowledge and encouragement !

'Migrating' from Power BI Premium to Fabric Capacity
Hi everyone, I know a lot of you are facing the requirement to move from Power BI Premium capacities, to Fabric Capacities, because of the sunsetting of the Premium capacity licensing. This blog post by David Mitchell (Microsoft) - walks you through a few different options for you, including a manual switch, and the use of semantic-link-labs. Let me know your thoughts, is this something you're planning?

Hi, I also need to understand this. I think the enterprise agreements are the first step, those are needed to create the MS Fabric capacity according to them. When you have new Fabric capacity, it is either manually changing the capacities under the workspaces or via the semantic link.
