My family keeps me grounded — my daughters are both into competitive cheer, my son’s a second-dan black belt in taekwondo, and I’m the kind of dad who calls “golfing” an excuse to hang out, laugh, and lose a few balls together. I live in Des Moines, Iowa, and I’ve spent the last 20 years running a business with my wife called Midwest Business Marketing. We started as a tiny print shop and built it into a full marketing and design company. Along the way, I got deep into sales, organizing, and communication — helping small businesses, union locals, and teams of all kinds grow and connect with people the right way. I’ve always loved the creative side of what I do — building, designing, and bringing ideas to life. Whether it’s woodworking in my garage or developing new tools like Sage, my AI-powered sales coach, that same spirit of creating something useful drives me. I’ll be honest… I’ve been struggling with this lately. Part of me wants to give everything I have to building my business, because the goals matter so much. But at the same time, I keep reminding myself: without health, there will be no wealth. It’s hard to slow down when you feel like you’re already behind especially with the tight schedule. But I’m realizing that every time I take care of my health — resting, moving my body, eating well — I show up with more clarity, energy, and focus for my business. I’m still figuring it out. Some days I get it right, other days I don’t.
