I was doing this question and was trying to use John's way to find the regression. But the Learn SAT math guy did it differently and also had a k variable. Is there a way to get to the right answer through my original method? Is it incorrect? When do I use it?

Hey yall! I haven't been on here in a while since school got busy, but I am planning on studying for the SAT either in June or August! I purchased this bundle with 14 day plan back in December where I remember there was this thing called the reading playbook and I can't find it in my classroom anymore. I was planning on running through concepts using that. It would be great if someone could help me find it again! I'm really sorry if this question has already been asked, I haven't been on here in a while.

Got my score back and I'm ecstatic rn🥹🥹 I'll be honest, when I first started preparing for my SAT, I didn't think this was even possible.
