The Magic Word
This was learned during my morning study group so I wanted to share it here. When thinking of the “magic word,” my thoughts first turn to the word “please.” While “please” is the magic word for children to get what they want from adults, “attitude” is considered the magic word for adults to get what they want from life. Both operate on the law of reciprocity. If you use “please,” others are likely to respond with courtesy. Similarly, the world tends to reflect your “attitude” back to you; if you project optimism and helpfulness, you generally receive the same in return.

This is so true. I believe that if you are good to other people they will be good to you.
A New Normal Gets Installed
Today's quote from the book: “This isn’t wishful thinking, it’s programming your subconscious to accept a new normal.” Doing What You Know, Chapter 6, p. 111 Most people keep waiting on a feeling. But your subconscious doesn’t run on inspiration. It runs on repetition. It runs on what you rehearse. That’s why you can “know” the right move and still default to the old pattern. The fastest shift is not hype. It’s installing a new normal through consistent reps. Same direction. Same standard. Enough days in a row that it starts feeling like you. Write one sentence that describes your new normal. Then do one 5-minute rep that matches it and log it.

This is why if I'm asked to do something difficult, I give it a whole day before answering. That way I put the question into my subconscious and give it time to find the right answer.

Fantastic, thank you. It's pleasure being active.
We talk about motivation like it’s the solution.
But most people don’t quit because they stop caring. They quit because there’s nothing holding them steady once life shows up. More on this soon.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing more.
The Silent Thief
Today's quote from the book: “Self-sabotage is a silent thief. It doesn’t often scream at you, it whispers.” Doing What You Know, Chapter 6, p. 101 That’s why it’s so dangerous. It doesn’t feel like panic. It feels like a reasonable delay. A little procrastination. A little shrinking back. A little “I’ll do it tomorrow.” And if you don’t catch the whisper, it slowly drains momentum, confidence, and results. The win is noticing it early. Not after it steals another week. Write the last “whisper” you listened to, then do one 5-minute move that proves you’re back in control.

I have lost so much time to this self sabotage over the years, now is the time to shut it out and get on with stuff.
