How are you all doing?
Hello, How is everyone doing? I'd love to hear some of the takeaways and/or insights you have had from the various courses you have been through so far. We are so fortunate to have had such good teaching from the team at Mosaic Learning Labs.

Kindness Connects Us
One of my favorite things about learning labs is the relationships that we get to make. It never escapes me that in this very moment, all over the world people are living there own lives— different time zones, different cultures, different languages; but one single act of kindness from across the globe seems to transcend all of that. Barbara Hyde, I want to publicly acknowledge your kindness. A few times during our live sessions, Audrey, my daughter was with me. Without skipping a beat, Barbara messaged me and spoke wonderful things about little Audrey. This warmed my heart. Then the next thing I know, Barbara is sending us a package from Scotland. To my surprise, it’s a gift for Audrey. We received it last night and well, look at the result of her kindness. Barbara sent her a beautiful Highland Cow! She didn’t know this, but my wife for years has been saying that she’d love for us to own a living one. Last night as she opened the package, my wife wept tears of joy and said, “all along the cow I wanted wasn’t for me or my own happiness, it was for Audrey’s.” Don’t know who will read this, but maybe if it’s you, I want to tell you that kindness really can make a difference and put a smile on someone’s face. Cheers

Kindness Ideas? 🌟
Hey everyone! I’m curious—what are some fun and creative ways we can show kindness in our everyday lives that reflect biblical teachings? Can’t wait to hear your ideas!

@Jose Andres Bernal The random act of kindness that always sticks in my mind is when my husband, son and I were all extremely ill with 'flu. We were too ill to even charge our phones or call anyone. Two Chinese students (who we only knew to say hello to) noticed that we hadn't been at church for a couple of Sundays so they found out our address and despite living over 16 miles away took a bus then a train and walked up a very steep hill (in the snow) to see if we were OK. Our door was open as we hadn't even managed to go downstairs to lock the door. They changed our sheets, did our washing, walked down the hill again to get groceries, walked back up the hill and made us a special chicken and ginger soup which they proceeded to feed us with. They returned day after day until we were better. We will never forget their random act of kindness to us as a family. A year later they were married in Jakarta in Indonesia and we all flew to their wedding where I was the Matron Of Honour. We remain very close friends to this day which all started by them noticing our absence, doing something about it despite only knowing us by name and staying the course until we were well again.

@Jose Andres Bernal I found this quite a difficult question to answer - mainly because those caring moment are never a one size fits all. For me, it is being present in the moment and getting to know the person - what might be considered caring for one person might be considered an imposition to another. Being present in my relationships enables me to understand how best to interact with that person in a caring way. I have had moments where I have not read the situation appropriately because I haven't taken the time to build a relationship with the person. I have found that listening is paramount. I would love to hear how you intentionally create those ‘small caring moments’
