I’m honestly blown away by how fast this community is growing. What’s funny is I don’t even really care about the growth anymore. What I care about most is the connection inside the community. The conversations, the support, the friendships forming. That said, the growth clearly isn’t slowing down, and that tells me something important. The best part is that the community is actually alive right now. That means the people joining today are walking into a fun, engaged, welcoming space, way different than what it looked like at the very beginning. This group is less than three months old and we’re already at 350 members. To put it in perspective November, 115 new members December, 141 new members January, 101 new members so far and we’re only 15 days in I’m excited about the numbers, but I’m way more excited about seeing my vision come to life. Watching real connections form and seeing people actually show up for each other has been the most rewarding part. I’ve been trying to build this community for the past two years. It started as a meditation group on Facebook, then evolved into an inner work space hosted on Slack. I wasn’t fully happy with how that felt, so I made a decision to change directions. At the end of October 2025, I joined Skool and started the Stress Free Sobriety community with just five people who came over from my previous private group. That evolution tells me I’m on the right track 🙌 I’m sharing this here simply as a win. Not to brag, not to compare, just to celebrate a milestone that means a lot to me. Building community is not easy, and this one feels really special. Grateful for the journey and excited for what’s unfolding. 💙🙏✨

The Addictions We Don’t Talk About
For a long time, I thought quitting alcohol was enough. But It wasn’t. I stopped drinking, but I kept using cannabis for many years after. On top of that, I was addicted to fast food, coffee, nicotine, chocolate bars, chips, ice cream, candy, porn, all sorts of stuff. Anything that helped me distract myself or avoid feeling what I didn’t want to feel. It was only a few years ago that I got really honest with myself and started to see why I was doing these things. It wasn’t about the thing itself, it was about the escape. The quick dopamine hit. The relief, even if it was short lived. Luckily, I’ve got most of that under control now. I haven’t watched porn in over two years, which is honestly huge for me. I used to watch it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. The work doesn’t stop though. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been sober for one year or twenty years, there’s always something to look at. We usually just replace one addiction with another. These days, my addiction looks different. Now it’s work. If I’m not at my job, I’m working on my business. If I’m not doing that, I’m on social media. Always doing something. Always moving. And I still have to remind myself to slow down, pause, and just be. What’s one addiction you’ve noticed you use to distract yourself or escape uncomfortable feelings? Share below if you’re open to it 👇

Work for me can be a huge addiction.

@Jason Dobbie that is essential! When my kids were little there were so many times I was up working at 1 o'clock in the morning so I could take a few hours of the evening. It's probably best to find a little better schedule than that!
DISCOVERY RANK UPDATE 🤘
A few weeks ago my community was sitting around #500 ish. Then it dropped to #396 last week when I joined this group. Now we’re at #299. What’s been interesting is noticing how much things have shifted since I started making the community more fun, more engaging, and more me. Small changes, better energy, more interaction, and it’s clearly having an impact. I’m excited to see where this lands by the end of the BLITZ challenge with my partner @Amanda Read. Go Team Care Bears 💙🌈 🩷 🌈 🩵 🌈
