Hi there!! I am a newly licensed agent (two weeks ago today) and am currently working through the red tape that all new agents have to go through to get established with their new companies they are working with. I'm actually working with two firms and I'm excited to finally get started. I'm a very seasoned sales professional with 25 years under my belt in both inside and outside sales. I recently discovered the genius that is Jeremy Miner, have taken his sales training and will be implementing it moving forward. Greetings, I recently received my license and I opened an LLC to open an agency and work under it. I have zero experience but I'm willing to learn the ropes while starting out the agency. I have a few questions that maybe some people could help me with. I'm trying to apply for my agency and when trying to appoint myself, it says that since I'm currently not appointed I can't apply for the agency license. Would I have to appoint myself initially in my independent account to then apply for the agency? and how would that affect my ability to work with carriers? I'm looking to being an independent agent rather than a captive one.

Hey Guys, So I got appointed by NEXT Insurance. I set up my bank account as well and I'm looking to starting very soon. I don't know what else I need to do to ensure a smooth start-up so I was hoping someone could help with some information. Do I purchase a phone system and line? (Ex: Google Voice, Phone Equipment to make calls and receive calls?) Do you guys record your phone calls and is it recommended? Do I purchase leads and where from? I have a Facebook page made, I don't know whether to make a Instagram as well. How do you guys go about marketing? Do I create a script to speak to potential clients? How? Any Pointers? I would really appreciate any feedback and help, thank you guys!
