Weekly Community Test 03-10 Jan
This weeks test is hinge strength, testing our deadlifts as requested by @Andrew Blair If you have a request for next weeks test drop a comment šŸ‘‡ with which one you want. Video tutorial linked below. It covers setup, technique, what poor form to look out for, couple of tips and covering off all the test levels. The video is also permanently stored in the Ground Zero course under Hinge. I will also take the technique component and make it a separate video in the exercise library.

Strength Endurance Workouts
Today was my second strength endurance workout this week. Yesterday I trained my weighted carries as training for a spartan race. I completed a 750 m lap of my block which includes a stupid steep hill carrying a 20 kg sandbag, then a lap carrying a 30 kg sandbag.šŸ¤® This was followed by dead hangs, steel club work, and rope flow all as focused work for shoulder health and injury rehab. Today as a spur of the moment after discussing with another lifter I decided to test how much I could deadlift for 12 reps. The answer is double bodyweight or 127.5 kg šŸ’Ŗ The full workout looked as such: 500m row warmup 5 min sled pull/push Deadlifts: 1 set at 60 kg, 80 kg, 110 kg warmups 1 set of 12 at 127.5 kg 2 sets of 12 at 107.5 kg The rest of the weeks training will consist of running with the plan of 3 runs 2 strength endurance sessions per week.

1st workout of the new block
Started my new training block today. The end goal is running a 5km Spartan race in the competition bracket. For those who are unaware what a Spartan race is, it is an obstacle race ran at either 5 10 or 21 km. Today was about setting a benchmark. I ran 5km while keeping my heart rate in the aerobic zone. After training I can run the same track again and see if I can reduce my run time while staying in the aerobic zone. The reason for this is related to how the obstacle course works. There are periods of running and periods of obstacles. I want to save the powerful anaerobic system for the obstacles and use the slow aerobic system for the running. Todays run was about the aerobic running.

Weekly Community Test: 27 Dec - 3 Jan
Thanks to those who completed the pullup test last week. Remember to record the result in your dashboard. For this week we will switch to a nice easy walking test. I will get a video up on Monday once I'm back home. - For levels 1-8 you will walk 100-800 m without stopping. - Levels 9-11 is 1 km completed in under 12, 11, and 10 min - Level 12 is 2 km under 20 min - Level 13 is 3 km under 30 min After this point you start rucking, a military exercise which is walking with weight. I will explain these levels in the video as it requires additional equipment.

Weekly Community Test 18-27 Dec
Here it is... The first community test. I'm pretty happy with the video having edited it using only my phone while traveling. This test will run until Friday next week. A little more than a week due to Christmas šŸŽ„ This one is vertical pull endurance, so pullups and all the progressions to get there. Make a comment below with which level you achieved. You can see the written list of all the tests under the Ground Zero Pull category in the classroom. https://www.skool.com/warrior-codex/classroom/4ee751c0?md=446879cdec4243c7bdb95ddaee184b46
