hello from Poland
Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m an Engineering Lead with over 10 years of experience in IT. Having spent most of my career deeply involved in tech, facilitation is something new for me, but Iโ€™m really excited to dive into it! Iโ€™ve often felt frustrated by how ineffective meetings and trainings can negatively impact the work experience, and Iโ€™m eager to learn how to facilitate to make a real difference in this area. Itโ€™s great to be part of this community

@Michal Jezynski Welcome!! :)
Seeking Feedback on Workshop Schedule
Hi everyone! It's my first post here, and Iโ€™m excited to join the community! Iโ€™m currently transitioning from an Engineering Lead role to a Facilitator. To test the waters, Iโ€™m planning a 2-hour, free workshop on Butter.us focused on adaptive and assertive communication in challenging project settings. The scenario covers typical communication challenges tech leads face, but itโ€™s set in a fun spaceship environment where participants tackle seemingly nonsensical issues that still impact project success. Since this will be my first time experimenting with both a new format and tool, Iโ€™m a bit concerned it might be overly packed. Iโ€™d really appreciate any feedback on the schedule, pacing, and content. Hereโ€™s the outline: Intro: Quick welcome, objectives, and brief intro to the interstellar project scenario with humorous yet impactful challenges (5 mins) Ice Breaker "Impractical Skills in Space" (15 mins): 1. Pairs discussion on shared motivations (4 mins) 2. Poll to vote on the most whimsical skills (1 min) 3. Group share (5 mins) Defining Project Priorities (25 mins): 1. Decision Board in pairs โ€“ Add sticky notes for 3 challenges using Butter whiteboard (10 mins) 2. Decision Matrix in pairs โ€“ Rank by Value & Effort (5 mins) 3. Group consensus โ€“ Present priorities (5 mins) Stakeholder Negotiation Role-play (30 mins): 1. Role-play in pairs โ€“ Tech Lead and Program Manager (20 mins total) 2. Feedback in pairs โ€“ Reflect on negotiation tactics (3 mins) 3. Group sharing โ€“ Discuss patterns and learnings (5 mins) Adaptive Communication (30 mins): 1. Role-play in pairs โ€“ Discuss balancing morale (20 mins) 2. Feedback in pairs (3 mins) 3. Group sharing โ€“ Common strategies (5 mins) Personal Leadership Action Plan (10 mins): 1. Individual reflection (2 mins) 2. Action planning โ€“ Create actionable steps (6 mins) Closure and Q&A: Recap key takeaways, action plan sharing, and open floor for questions (10 mins)

@Michal Jezynski welcome to the community! :) here are my thoughts that might help you thinking it through: - Do the timings feel right? depends on the number of participants. find some risks below - Is there enough time for the content I want to cover? depends on the number of participants. find some risks below - Does the sequence make sense? Yes, the sequence is logical. - Is there enough engagement? The variety of activities ensures high engagement. additional thoughts: Risks for Timing: 1. have you thought through timings with different numbers of participants? (especially sharing out with the whole group usually something that takes longer than expected, esepcially with larger groups) 2. have you planned some "buffer" time in your timings? (technical difficulties, discussion that take longer, explanation of exercises can take longer because they might be unclear to the participants and they ask questions,...) 3. have you thought about and planned for gathering feedback for the workshop? 4. have you prioritized your workshop exercises: what is "unskippable" what can i skip - in case time is too short. (you might create a minimized, super laser sharped focused version and one where you add things...often less is more) Hope it helps :) It s gonna be a great workshop!!! :) it s a fantastic and solid strong starting point what you have posted!
New Facilitator Here! Can I Shadow Your Next Session?
Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m currently looking for an opportunity to shadow a facilitation session and help out however I can. Iโ€™m just starting out, so Iโ€™d love to learn from experienced facilitators and contribute where needed! I speak English, Spanish, and French, so if anyone is running a session in any of these languages, Iโ€™d be thrilled to join, observe, and support in any way thatโ€™s helpful. Thanks a million in advance, and Iโ€™m looking forward to connecting and learning with some of you soon! ๐Ÿ™โœจ - If you want to know more about me : https://www.linkedin.com/in/bpenafiel/ Best, Dario

@Dario Penafiel i am planning to do a couple of mini 1 hour workshop in my skool community "agile action heroes" ...maybe that might be interesting for you? we could also do one together? how bout that?
My first 25Kโ‚ฌ workshop
I was very busy the last few months, because I succeed to secured one of my biggest consulting deal : a 5-day transformational workshop for a luxury experience company specializing in high-end travel and exclusive events. The Challenge was huge but as I had some experienced in the luxury industry (thanks to my fashion passion ๐Ÿ˜) in the past I felt confident about it. Their team of 15 luxury experience designers was struggling to maintain their premium positioning while scaling operations. They needed to standardize their processes without losing the "white glove" touch that their UHNWI clients expected ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ My solution : a 5-Day Intensive Workshop. Each day was carefully choreographed to blend luxury experiences with powerful learning moments. The ROI was clear : each luxury experience designer handles โ‚ฌ2M+ in bookings annually. A 10% efficiency improvement meant โ‚ฌ3M+ in additional revenue potential. Key Success Factors : - Immersive learning environment - Real-world luxury experiences integrated into training - Practical tools they could implement immediately - Network expansion opportunities - Exclusive venue selection reinforcing premium positioning The results : - 30% faster quote delivery - 25% increase in upselling ๐Ÿคฉ - 100% team confidence in handling VIP requests The biggest lesson? When you deeply understand your client's industry and craft an experience that mirrors their own premium standards, price becomes secondary to value.

๐Ÿ“Where is everyone from?๐Ÿ“
Hello Facilitators๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm really curious about where everyone is from. I'd love to make this a mega post where we can see how diverse the Facilitator Club community is. Who knows, you might find a lot more people in your area than you thought! Once I have lots of answers on this post, I want to make a nice graph!
