Rice Bucket Training
Does anyone use the rice bucket training for forearm and finger strength ? Have been doing it for about a month and seems to be great for building strength , dexterity and injury prevention.

I'd be interested to know how the training works. Perhaps it can help me rebuild strength in my wrist (just coming back from a wrist injury). Thank you:)

What a perfect start to Sunday! Relaxing in bed, enjoying a cup of tea, and gaining new insights into BJJ. I'm already looking forward to practicing the escape technique from the body triangle. It fits perfectly with my current back escape training.

Plan your training sessions. Have a goal. Sharpen something small a little bit each time. Don’t try to sharpen everything all the time. Once in a while try to sub everyone as many times as you can. But for the most part, focus on kaizen. A little bit better everyday. When I trained for 4-6 hours a day and competed a lot, I would have a technique or 2 that I would decide to practice each class. When I inevitably messed it up and ended up with you on my back, no big deal. I was confident in my escape and my ability to get back to the spot where I need to be to try the technique again. It makes sense in the beginning to focus on pin escapes and sweeps because that’s where you are likely to be at any given moment. As a beginner, most of your time will be under side control or some other pin. Don’t fight it. Embrace it. Build that comfort in darkness. Escape and then let yourself be put back into the pin and try again. Until it’s reflexive.

Thanks for the navigation help. This kind of advice really helps me get more out of my training and navigate myself better.

Sorry guys, I wasn't able to accurately describe the position I was in. I'll prepare better next time:)

I had the chance to do some rounds out of back control last/this week and observed how my trainingpartners react. Escaping back control worked well and looking more at where I could move was great advice. Some trainingpartner spent more energy controlling my hips and get/keep hooks, while others focused more on upper body control/choke or try to get to Mount.

@James Driskill Observing more closely and briefly reflecting on each round afterward, considering what happened, is really helping me develop a better understanding. So, thank you for that :) One guy is good in catching my arm with his leg and then come to an position of controlling both of my arms and then stretches. (I think crucifix is the term for that, but not sure:) ) I don't have an good answer to that double arm control yet.
