New feature: 1-time payment
A new Skool feature has just been rolled out: one-time payment. You can now offer lifetime access to your community for a single payment (up to $999). I believe this will allow many to use Skool as a platform to sell an online course with a one-time fee. But strangely, the price cap is lower than the possible annual recurring fee ($4,999). I also think some will simply use it as a way to filter access to their community. Is this a feature you’re considering testing?

An interesting choice to add. Likely a highly requested and easy to implement feature.
Check the availability of a Skool name
Here is a cool little tool to check if the Skool URL you want is available! You can test it here. There are some really cool options available on the platform! /Astrology /management /lawyer /memecoins

That is helpful
Aim for quality, not quantity
I just stumbled on a free community with 17k members. They are offering something similar to one of my community in French, so I went inside to see how they are doing. There are 5 posts. No more than 5-10 people online at the same time, out of 17k. ZERO post written by someone else than the owner. Now, I'm not saying this is bad in itself. The owner created a simple landing page for his lead magnet, and this is how he is using Skool. It's clever, and it's making him some affiliate sales. But it got me to reflect on how this is NOT how I want to use Skool. Yes, I want my member count to increase. But I don't want my community to be a simple billboard for my free lead magnets. That's why I'm selective on who I let in, and how I invite people to participate. I'd rather go for quality over quantity. And starting small is the best way to create a solid, active community with people who are deeply engaged. What is your take on this?

Definitely a little strange. Let’s hope they jumped in to reserve a community URL and have plans for something in the future.
What has been your best lead magnet to bring people into your community?
I've tested offering a free workshop, and people had to get to level 3 to get free access to it, and it worked very well. Next month, I'm testing a free challenge. I'm curious what you have tested to brig people into your community from your other platforms?

Please never offer a free ebook. People may download them but 99.9999999999999% will never look at them. That equates the value to zero.

Checklists that offers perspective on where someone is in a situation have been well received. Perhaps they help with disarming imposter syndrome?
