I found Reddit has a lot of moms on this platform sharing stories of their struggles with returning to exercise I had trouble with google ads so I couldn't figure out how to access this feature for free.. hope we go over this on zoom tomorrow! Answer the public keywords: "how to get back to running postpartum" (11,700,000 results) "return to running postpartum" (4,590,000 results) "return to running postpartum plan" (3,600,000 results) Amazon had 1 relevant book when I searched for postpartum running that had only 25 reviews but all very positive! Youtube had a lot of great content for pregnant and post partum mamas when I searched "postpartum running" "Postpartum Running | A 7-Part Physiotherapy Screen to Check to Running Readiness" 964 views "Return To Running Postpartum - Running After Pregnancy - When Is It Safe To Run After Having A Baby?" 4.7k views There were some personal experiences mother's have posted about their journey postpartum as well. Also just a lot of "tips" for postpartum mothers.. however there wasn't a lot of engagement in the comments. Most of the comments I found for this niche was on reddit actually (searched for 'postpartum run'). Maybe mom's like reddit more! Great exercise. I learned a lot about the different platforms people use and how to learn about my customer based off the comments of these communities
Since this program, I’ve reached out to family and friends with a free mom run/support group on Facebook, I’ve posted more content on IG, and have set up an affiliate program with a product I consistently use. I also had a couple referrals from previous patients. My potential customers are on IG & FB and also on Reddit. They are also at the OBGYN and probably shopping at target or on Amazon right now. They also might be on an elliptical because they’re apprehensive about running
10 people that have my audience (postpartum women returning to running) Providers: OBGYNs, LMTs, Pelvic floor PTs, chiropractors (I plan to google specific providers in my area) Businesses: Target, children stores Community: Fit4Mom group, schools, parks/playgrounds, gyms
@Chelsea Muncy This is gold girl! Adding in the nutrition component is really unique to me. As a new mom I'm pretty much into ALL of these products. My favorites being: - Free video on moves they can do to restore their core and pelvic floor right after having the baby - Free breastfeeding at night tips and tricks check-list - Free snack guide early postpartum - Free Facebook Co mmunity for pregnant & postpartum moms - Continued membership with at home/gym fitness options, as well as nutritional support, and community. One thing I would add to this (only because I've been struggling with this myself) is how to get a husband/partner feel involved and not sidelined with the new baby. So maybe even couple based exercises or a free "tips to get your SO involved and stay connected" - especially during those early weeks. Idk if that is not quite your focus but it's just a thought!
https://trello.com/b/qraoVJml/postpartum-mama-runners Didn’t use the template but here’s my board!!! Great organizational tool. Lots of room of improvement and things to learn still but a great start…thank you!
@Chelsea Muncy looks like the same avatar at different stages of their life! Like if avatar 3 found you, they’d avoid being avatar 2 and 1. Very cool and I think you should pick the one you resonate with the most! For me I’m avatar 2 (new mama part) and… that’s actually my avatar! We should collaborate!
Niche: runners; sub-niche: postpartum women returning to running Problem: pain or hesitation returning to running after pregnancy Profit: not sure how much these return to run programs are as most people don't advertise their price...but I imagine it ranges from $20-$200 for a program and probably up to $1k for 1:1? Anyone have an idea here? I haven't dove into clicking or signing up.. There's LOTS of women on reddit and IG following other women hitting this niche Presence: so many IG accounts out there helping women/runners 1) The runners fix: strength and rehab programs, blog, free YouTube video warm ups 2) Chrissy nich runs- run coach with free webinar how to run pregnant, return to run postpartum checklist, free masterclass how to run while pregnant 3) Relentless runners- off season running program, pre and post natal running programs 4) Bump runner- helps moms run through pregnancy and postpartum 5) The runners plate- training plans: return to running (“for those that had a long break from running”), base building plan (“for those in between training cycles”- anyone care to explain that actually?), half marathon and marathon training plans 6) The running DPT- different run programs They all have programs/plans made for a specific population.. only some offered 1:1 coaching so that might be good for me to offer but defeats the purpose of a 168 for now. Maybe later :)
I help new moms get back to enjoying running to be happier, healthier, and stronger mothers for their little ones. OR... I help new moms return to exercise and running through proper postpartum exercise progressions while minimizing risk for future injury. First, wow it's actually 20 words lol. But which sounds better ..? Thanks in advance!!
I'm sticking to my business name for my podcast. The Movement Doc Podcast. Yay? Nay? My business name is very broad (intentional because I had no avatar when I started). Should I change the name of the podcast to be what the topic is on? Runners?
I've been working on giving to the following (and got 1!) 1. @RelentlessRunners (Christine Nichols)- subscribed to YouTube and commented on video 2. ***@dr.Sarah_thehipdoc - I've been "giving" to her for a while now and my most recent "gives" was: subscribed to YouTube and commented on video, several IG comments and likes. She invited ME on HER show (but I know I got lucky- we knew each other from before and she's in GT's mastermind!) Monday evening we're discussing interview details! 3. @luluruns (Bethany Thompson)- liked and commented on IGx2 4. Persistent running podcast (Bethany Thompson) subscribed and reviewed 5 stars 5. @docjenfit - liked, commented IG x 2
