Freemium Model: Community Growth Update
Hey Everyone !!! Here is my My monthly community Update: what’s working (and not working for me) in Grow With Evelyn ... Today we are talking about how I’m running (and growing) my freemium → paid system inside my Skool community, in case it helps anyone else is thinking of using this model. TL;DR 🤣 👉Freemium front door → high-value free workshop → one-off paid upgrade → community activation events → traffic challenge → bundles → future affiliates. 👉Soft launch revenue so far: $2,089 + 4 recent $97 upgrades 👉Everything is pointing in the right direction. 👉 Freemium → One-Off Upsell Model (and why I switched) I experimented with tiers, but after reviewing my LTV strategy (and talking it through with @Evelyn Weiss ), I moved to a freemium model with a single one-off upgrade. My Beta launch for the Cold Case Creator Club brought in $2,089, plus a few more sales afterward. And since moving the upsell inside the community, I’ve had 4 more upgrades at $97. ➡️For my niche and audience, the one-off structure is giving me: ✔ better long-term customer value ✔ lower friction for buyers ✔ no churn issues ✔ a cleaner upsell flow inside Skool 👉 Free Entry System (value heavy by design) Every new member gets: ➡ a DM directing them to the Welcome Post ➡ instructions to introduce themselves ➡ CTA to my free workshop (built with Evelyn’s Scrappy Workshop model) ➡️The workshop includes: The full framework + Workshop A workbook + quick start guide A mini template pack AI prompt pack .... and a CTA to join the main offer 🌟 It gives a win → then offers the deeper system. ➡️The Paid Offer: What’s inside: all my templates all creation systems a custom GPT asynchronous feedback Community only events like implementation weeks and social nights the deeper, structured cold case creation course This is my main offer inside the community (currently $97 Beta — price rising soon). 👉 Community Engagement Events Next month I’m running a free live murder mystery event inside Skool. I’ll use one of my products + an Easter egg hunt + mission style. I’ve hosted this before in a Facebook group last year and it converted extremely well — so it’s my main community activation event moving forward.
