After lurking here for some months, I finally pulled the trigger and booked my free intro lesson, and I gotta say, the whole experience was just really great energy from start to finish. I had never done a music lesson over Zoom before and wasn't really sure what to expect, but ultimately it felt every bit as effective as an in-person experience. There were a number of things that really impressed me - for a start, Jaco has a really warm, kind vibe that immediately disarmed any feeling of nervousness I had coming in as a beginner player. To nobody's surprise, he's an extremely gifted teacher. He has a phenomenal ear and could immediately mimic whatever I had just played. His attention to detail is superb - that's the part I wasn't initially sure would translate over Zoom, but he was able to zoom in (pun intended) on so many little technical details that immediately made a noticeable difference in my playing. His communication style is effortless. The 'what' and the 'why' of everything he said was so easy to follow. The half hour flew by, and I walked away feeling really inspired, excited, and 100% convinced that this is an investment worth making. I signed up for a VIP membership right after the lesson, and am already looking forward to the next lesson. 💛🎸
