In honour of Rainbow Week, I have started re-reading Richard Gerber's book Vibrational Medicine. The more I learn about Vibrational Medicine, the more fascinated I become with the subject. As a certified crystal practitioner, I absolutely love learning the science behind why crystals work. And I love learning about a new model of illness and wellness that views disease as a manifestation of a chakra dysfunction. According to Gerber, each of the "major chakras is connected to a major nerve plexus and glandular center within the endocrine system of the body" (p.370). Root Charka - Associated with Sacral-Coccygeal nerve plexus, Reproductive system, Gonads Sacral - Associated with Sacral nerve plexus (L4-S4), Genitourinary system, and Leydig Solar Plexus - Associated with Celiac/Solar nerve plexus, Digestive system, and Adrenals Heart - Associated with Heart Plexus, Circulatory system, and Thymus Throat - Associated with Cervical Ganglia Medulla, Respiratory system, and Thyroid Third eye - Associated with Hypothalamus and Pituitary, Autonomic Nervous System, and Pituitary gland Crown - Associated with Cerebral cortex and pineal, Central Nervous System and Pineal gland According to Gerber, the cellular health of each organ system is dependent upon the proper functioning of each of the major chakra systems, and abnormal chakra functioning can lead to weakness and disease within the body.
