If Your YT Channel Was A Christmas Stockingā¦ā¦ā¦
what would you place inside of it and to whom would you give it? Where would you hang it? Letās seeā¦.. Iād put in something sweet, something happy, something different, something to learn, a greeting card and anything else that might fit into it. I would hang it in a spot with a sign that says āFreeā. It would need to be a place that draws the most attention from someone who needs some cheer, is curious, appreciative, enjoys pleasant surprises and wants to learn more about the stocking. May your Stockings be filled with all good things that the Christmas season brings. ā¤ļøšššā¤ļø

Video Surging in Views
Hello everyone. Over the past 4 days I've had a video that has begun to pick up a lot of views, almost 1300 the last I looked. I'm curious what to expect if anyone has had similar experiences? Does it flatline for awhile while YT figures stuff out and resurge or does it continue to get pushed out more and more? A friend that I know had a video go viral (it did get her monetized) about 8 months ago and mentioned that her's did not pick up momentum until day 26. What I have noticed since this interest in the video, is that my other videos have begun to surge as well. Any thoughts, tips, etc?

Love itā¦ the excitement of seeing it all happen! Did you do any VidIQ type stuff? It was interesting hearing Kathryn say on the live the other day that following their suggestions for thumbnails brought in new views for old videos. I did have the free VidIQ for a few days but it didnāt seem to be consistent with my scores and when I let it suggest a thumbnail, the one it came up with was horrible lolā¦ so far off the mark.. I kind of gave up!

Late Intro
Hello All! I'm a bit late with my intro. but better late than never, right? I'm a 6x layoff survivor and passionate about teaching other women how to land softly on their feet after a midlife setback like a layoff, menopause, widowed, divorced, empty nester or any setback in midlife. I have a heart for people, especially women, dealing with layoffs, especially in this economy and enjoy teaching women over 40, 50 & 60 how to make money online as a golden parachute for getting and staying on track to meet their financial goals for retirement. @Rozani Navas-Smith yesā¦ when I listened to the whole thing properly I noticed how very perfectly curated it was so I think someone very experienced in these things or knows someone who isā¦ It felt a bit too perfect for me tbhā¦ I like more rawā¦ raggedy edged content that I can relate too lol!

@Just Krista Funny I was in another thread and @Julie JordanScott said she also noticed the very polished feel of the video. He did well but that style doesnāt appeal to meā¦ I like the more messy, raw videos because I can relate to these. I think the viewers being able to relate is the most important factor in these videos, but although you can relate to the titleā¦ it doesnāt always follow through. I think someone mentioned in this case that the fact that he owns a home outright and had a load of collectable things to sell changes the story a bit. Kind of like when you see a thumbnail saying (random example!) āI used ***** for 3 months and my wrinkles are gone! ā Then you discover that the person in 19 and never been out in the sun lol!!!! But that doesnāt detract from his success here even if a lot gave up half way it counts. But I guess as I think Vicky said, til be the follow through that tells. Itās all fascinating stuffā¦ I could easily just study it all for fun!

A/B Testing option for Titles & Thumbnails?
Today for the first time YouTube offered me the option of A/B testing. I chose to test titles but not thumbnails. Next time I may make different thumbnails to test. Have any of you tried this option? What feedback did you get?

@Julie JordanScott absolutely Julieā¦ I just wrote about this very thing in Andreaās postā¦ thatās what struck me the most the perfectly curated presentationā¦ gotta say it may be successful and good on him, but I like flaws and bumps and scratches! Give me the analogue version anyday lol!
