I had a ridiculous amount of the fungus gnats. They invaded us from a plant that was gifted to us. We had just swapped out a fish tank and had a large amount of gravel. We used it as mulch on all our houseplants. It keeps the gnats from laying eggs in the dirt they need to reproduce.

They are gorgeous. A student recently gave me a Mason jar bouquet of zinnias...I'm kinda smitten. I'm not much for annuals, but I might be willing to make an exception.
