Hi Tribers! What an adventure, to say the least. I shared a bit in this post, but will share more today after notifications. I didn’t have cell coverage most of the time while we were in the desert to talk w all of you but got plenty of videos lol. Will splice them in one and share… oh my!!! It took 11 hours in total to get the car out and got a few more cars stuck in the process and a major sunburn… I normally don’t look at clocks and how much time what takes but @Justin Love was so worried about loosing his Skool fire 😂🤣😅 I will go through notifications first before I work on the video for you as I am behind and will reposted to everyone first!!! In the meantime, here is are 2 photos of how the festival started for us 🤣 then we left the car so I can make it to my set…. And then came back to deal w it for the next 11 hours…. Sometimes you hear a song that has a certain emotion behind it that matches you. In the mid-90s, when I heard atmospheric drum and bass for the first time, that's how I felt. It spoke to me in the emotion that came through in the atmospheric part of the music. And then to add an MC on top of that was kind of mind-blowing. This was the first that I heard in a series, and there is a whole entire record label devoted to this sound. It was called Good Looking Records, and it had about five different imprints under the main label. It was headed by a D.J. that calls himself L.T.J. Bukem, alongside his co-creator known as Blame. And there were several other DJs and producers to fill out the crew, along with two MCs; one of which is featured on this album. Good Looking put out a sound that completely changed the scene. Now, all these years later, there's been a resurgence of atmospheric drum and bass, with people trying to recapture the sound and the feeling from that golden age. @Rositsa Aleksandrova Encouraged me to share this, so here you go.
