New to The AI Advantage? Read This First (It Will Save You Weeks)
Hey everyone! We get a LOT of new members every day, and many of you jump in with enthusiasm… and then immediately get swarmed by: • bots with stock profile photos • “DM me for mentorship” sales funnels • vague success promises • people who don’t even use AI but want to pitch things This post is for the real humans who genuinely want to learn, build, and grow with AI. Here’s your starter roadmap 👇 1️⃣ First rule: Learn to spot bots & funnels This community is incredible — when you know how to filter it. Red flags to watch for: • “Drop YES and I’ll help you make income fast” • “DM me” within 2 messages • Lifestyle promises (“I made 20k in 2 days!”) • Zero real builds, zero screenshots, zero proof • Over-friendly messages from accounts created 1 week ago Legit members don’t chase you. They build in public. ⸻ 2️⃣ Second rule: Follow people who show their work If someone doesn’t post: • what they built • how they built it • what went wrong • what improved their workflow …they’re not someone you need to learn from. I personally follow only those who provide actual value: builders, testers, thinkers, problem-solvers. Start small. Follow intentionally, not emotionally. ⸻ 3️⃣ Third rule: Start with ONE person’s breadcrumbs This community hides its best knowledge in the comments, not just the posts. Pick one skilled member and go through: • their posts • their comments under other posts • their replies to questions You’ll find frameworks, prompts, thinking patterns, debugging strategies, and logic you can actually use. If you want a beginner → advanced path, my posts follow that structure: starting simple and getting progressively more technical. ⸻ 4️⃣ Fourth rule: Don’t hoard — apply Don’t be a collector. Don’t fill your Google Drive with 200 prompts you’ll never touch. Instead: • learn one thing • apply it instantly • build something small • break it • fix it • repeat This is the fastest way to grow your actual skillset. ⸻ 5️⃣ Fifth rule: Show your journey

When You Try to Protect the Community… and Accidentally Trigger the Firewall 🤖
Well… apparently my little BOT DETECTOR post in the main AI Advantage community caused more turbulence than expected. It survived a whole 2 hours before getting gently escorted off the stage. Reason given: “It might confuse the thread.” Totally fine — I get it. But here’s the part that’s ironic: I posted it precisely to help beginners avoid getting confused. Because half the new members are getting approached by bots and have no idea what’s going on. My intention was simple: ✨ keep humans safe ✨ keep the thread clean ✨ teach new members how to recognize low-effort spam ✨ do it in a fun, memorable way so people actually pay attention But maybe my delivery was a little too… effective 😇 (Moderation bot: “THREAT DETECTED — remove.”) Still love the team — genuinely. No hard feelings. Just amused that the only thing in the community that successfully got flagged was… the anti-bot post 🤖💀 Anyway — since it vanished before some of you saw it, here are the screenshots and the explanation of what it was. If anyone still wants the track or the guide, I can drop them here safely — where context isn’t an issue and beginners actually benefit from it. Humans helping humans. What a concept 😌✨ Also people let us stay inside topic this time in the comments 😉🫰

@Fanie van der Merwe Hey Fanie. I’m really glad the post helped you. And welcome.. seriously. You’re definitely not the only one who ran into bots before meeting the actual humans in here. It happens to almost every new member, and it can make the whole place feel strange at first.. like, “Is anyone here actually… real?” 😄 But trust me: there are genuine people here who learn, build, test, collaborate, and talk about AI with real experience. You just have to filter through the noise a little. Here’s my little shortcut for you: ✨ Start by checking the posts and comments of the people I follow. One human at a time (and continue to look who they follow😉). You’ll quickly see who’s actually building things, who teaches, who learns, who shares real workflows, and who adds value. (Just a heads-up: some accounts following me and others are bots too — so do a quick profile check before engaging. No worries, I’ll guide you through the mess when needed 😉🫰). And you’re right. If bots keep flooding social spaces, many new people will hesitate to engage. That’s exactly why I made the BOT DETECTOR post in the first place: to help beginners find the actual community underneath the noise. (I actually have an idea on how to fight this in real world 😏) You’re doing everything right so far: asking, observing, connecting. The real conversations are here. They’re just… occasionally buried under an army of NPCs. You’ll settle in quickly (and learn the ropes😉) .. and you’re welcome to ask me any time you need clarity or direction 😌🫰 I got you!

@Jac Fraser Great question Jac! And the fact that you asked it already proves you’re human. Bots don’t get curious about their own existence 😂 Here’s the short version: Who creates the bots? Mostly: • affiliate marketers • low-effort “AI entrepreneurs” • people scraping communities for leads • automation farms testing engagement patterns Why? Because communities with high activity look like an easy place to: • harvest emails • pitch products • funnel people to DMs • test sales scripts • inflate fake engagement metrics It’s basically digital littering. How to spot them fast: • lifestyle promises with zero proof • “drop YES below” • vague business claims (“I help people scale to 5–10k/mo”) • no concrete builds or examples • comments that ignore the thread’s context • identical language patterns across accounts But don’t worry.. there are real humans here, real builders, and real gold once you learn to filter the noise. Welcome in. Ask anything. And stay curious.. And that’s the best bot detector we have 😉🤝

If you want a quick pro tip for navigating this community: Start by following people who give real, practical value (not spam, not funnels). The people I follow are mostly builders who post clear workflows, prompts, and examples you can actually use Also.. if you’re new to AI here, some of my posts start very beginner-friendly and then gradually move toward more advanced systems. You might find them helpful as you figure out how AI can support your travel business + health products. Take your time, explore, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. This place has gems… if you know where to look 😉🫰

Excited to Learn, Connect & Grow!
Hey everyone! I’m Stacey I run a Shopify dropshipping ecommerce business, and over time I’ve built a lifestyle of comfort, flexibility, and freedom. I joined AI Advantage because I love what Tony & Dean created here a space where AI becomes clear, practical, and a true unfair advantage for entrepreneurs like us. I’m here to connect, share what I know, and help others grow especially anyone ready to increase their income before the year ends. If you’re serious about leveling up and want to learn more, drop “YES” in the comments. Your future is created by the actions you take today not tomorrow. Let’s grow together.

@Stacey Morgan Alright Stacey, welcome.. but I’m going to be very honest, because this community deserves clarity. Your introduction reads exactly like a dropshipping sales funnel opener: - lifestyle pitch ✔️ - comfort/freedom framing ✔️ - “I help people increase their income” ✔️ - invitation to comment “YES” ✔️ - vague offer with no actual value yet ✔️ This is textbook cold-lead warming. And just so you know.. that approach gets flagged mentally by the humans here very fast. This space isn’t built around “drop a keyword and I’ll DM you.” It’s built around real projects, real builds, and real value. So if you’re here with genuine intent, great: jump in, show us something real: - What are you building? - What’s your workflow? - How are you actually using AI in your business? - What problem did AI help you solve? Give the community something concrete to work with. Because the fastest way to gain trust here isn’t through “YES” funnels… it’s through showing your work. If you’re here to contribute 👉 perfect. If you’re here to recruit 👉 this isn’t the room. Just keeping it transparent so we all stay aligned 😉🫰
New here :)
Hello everyone, I'm new here. My name is Victor, and I'm a student, but I'm also getting started in entrepreneurship. I use AI for many things in my life, but I feel like I could use it even more. I joined this community to learn more about the uses of AI. Thank you for reading, and I hope to learn from all of you :)

How to navigate here without getting overwhelmed: • Start small — don’t try to collect every prompt you see. • Use what you learn immediately instead of copy-pasting everything into a docs. • Check the comments under posts.. the best teachings are often hidden in replies. • Look at the people I follow.. I only follow members who consistently give real value here. • Go one creator at a time. Study their posts, their thinking, their prompts. • When you’re ready, level up from beginner → intermediate → advanced prompt building. (My recent (and older) posts follow that progression, if you want a starting point.)

And when you start posting your own journey, it helps you grow and you tend to get valuable feedback.. just remember to tag someone if it doesn’t get seen right away. People here have real lives and projects of their own. Hope this helps you get your bearings 😉 Excited to see what you build.
