🔥 Badass Affirmation of the Day 🔥
I’m Done With Toxic Positivity — I’m Allowed to Feel Like Shit and Still Move. 💥🖤 Let’s call it what it is. That “just stay positive,” “good vibes only,” “fake it till you make it” garbage? It’s toxic as hell — especially in recovery. It tells you that if you’re still struggling, still angry, still crying in the shower, still one bad day away from relapse… then you’re doing it wrong. It shames the very real, very human pain that comes with this work. It makes you feel like a failure for not radiating sunshine while your whole life feels like it’s on fire. 🔥😞 Fuck that. You’re allowed to be pissed. You’re allowed to be exhausted. You’re allowed to say “Today sucks and I still showed up.” That’s not negativity. That’s honesty. And honesty is the only soil where real progress grows. 🌱✨ The people who shame your bad days have never sat in the dark with the cravings, the grief, the shame, or the flashbacks. I have. Progress is progress — even when it’s ugly. Mile or millimeter. Any forward motion is forward motion — even if you’re dragging your ass through it while telling the toxic positivity crowd to go to hell. 🖕🔥 Let’s get brutally real in the comments: What’s one way toxic positivity has made your recovery harder? And what’s the honest, messy truth you’re carrying today that you’re no longer going to pretty up? 🗣️👇 No forced gratitude. No fake smiles. Just raw truth. Your words might be the validation someone else needs to stop gaslighting their own pain. 🤝💬 I see you. I’ve been you — smiling on the outside while dying on the inside. And I’m still here choosing real over perfect every single day. If you’re tired of pretending and ready for support that can hold the darkness with you, I’ve got space. Book your free 60-minute chat here → www.progressisprogressllc.com ⏳💬 No judgment. No toxic positivity. Just real talk from someone who’s walked through the fire. Or come into the Skool community where we keep it ugly-honest and support each other through the mess. 🤝🔥

I remember hearing a phrase in AA many many years ago and it really helped me through this part. We claim progress not perfection and I thought OK so I can maybe do one more day of this and that helped to get me through. Hope hope this helps somebody.
🔥 Badass Affirmation of the Day 🔥
I Still Want to Die Sometimes — And I’m Choosing to Stay Anyway. 🌑💔 It hits in the quiet hours when the world goes still. That cold, heavy darkness settles into your bones like wet concrete poured straight into your chest. Your breath feels shallow and useless. The air tastes like iron and dust. 🩸🌫️ Your body goes numb in places and burns in others — a dull, aching emptiness that makes even your skin feel too heavy to carry. You can smell the despair on yourself: stale sweat, unwashed sheets, the faint ghost of whatever you used to use to make it stop. 🛏️👻 Your mind whispers the same tired lie over and over: “It would be easier if you just weren’t here. Everyone would be better off. You’re too broken to fix.” 🧠💔 The suicidal thoughts don’t always scream. Sometimes they just sit there, quiet and heavy, pressing down until you can’t tell where the pain ends and you begin. I’ve been there. I’ve lain in bed with that exact cold void swallowing me whole. I’ve tasted the metallic finality on my tongue. I’ve felt my own heartbeat like a traitor — still beating when part of me wished it would stop. I’ve smelled the quiet surrender in the dark and fought the urge to disappear. 🌑🖤 But here’s the rawest, hardest truth from someone who’s stared into that same abyss more times than I can count: Wanting to die doesn’t mean you have to. It means you’re in pain so deep your brain is trying to find the emergency exit. 🚪🧠 Staying anyway — even when every cell screams to leave — that’s not weakness. That’s the most brutal, courageous kind of forward motion there is. One breath when you want to stop breathing. One “I’m still here” when you want to vanish. One millimeter when the darkness feels infinite. 🌱✨ Progress is progress. Mile or millimeter. Any forward motion is forward motion — especially the one where you choose to stay alive when dying feels like relief. Let’s get brutally, unflinchingly honest in the comments (if you’re safe to do so): What does that darkest thought feel like in your body right now — the cold, the weight, the taste, the silence?

🔥 Badass Affirmation of the Day 🔥
The Rage Is Loud Today — But I’m Not Letting It Drive. 🔥😡 It explodes without warning. That white-hot fire surges up from your gut like lava, burning your throat raw. Your jaw locks so tight your teeth ache. Fists clench until your knuckles turn white and your nails dig half-moons into your palms. ✊😤 Your heartbeat slams like a war drum in your ears. The air tastes like smoke and copper. Your skin feels electric, too tight, ready to explode. ⚡🔥 You can smell the old anger — sharp, sour, like sweat and spilled whiskey from every fight you swore you’d never repeat. 🥃💥 The rage wants you to scream, throw something, use something, destroy something. It whispers that everything would feel better if you just let it out the old way. 😠💣 I’ve been there. I’ve felt that exact volcanic heat flood my body, tasted the metallic fury on my tongue, and shook with the force of emotions I didn’t know how to hold without breaking everything around me. 🌋😖 But here’s the raw, lived truth from someone who’s been consumed by that same fire: Feeling the rage doesn’t mean you have to obey it. You can burn with anger and still choose not to set your life on fire. You can feel the explosion building in your chest and still take one deliberate, stubborn millimeter forward — by breathing, by walking away, by naming it out loud instead of numbing it. 🌱🔥 That choice? That’s not weakness. That’s power most people never develop. 💪⚡ Progress is progress. Mile or millimeter. Any forward motion is forward motion — especially when you’re white-knuckling through a storm of rage and still refusing to let it steer. 🤜🔥 Let’s get brutally honest in the comments: What does the rage feel like when it hits you — the heat, the taste, the sound in your head, the tension in your body? And what’s one small thing you’re doing (or did) today to feel it without letting it drive? 🗣️👇 No “just calm down” bullshit. Just real, fiery truth. Your share might be the exact validation someone else needs when their own anger is screaming at them right now. 🔥🖤

I have always loved this saying 💃
🔥 You’re Here. Welcome to Progress Recovery on Skool. 🔥
Let’s cut the bullshit right from the jump: you don’t have to fake it here. No highlight reels. No “I’m fixed” performances. No pretending your recovery is Insta-perfect. This is the place where the real shit lives—the messy middles, the days you white-knuckle it through, the nights you wonder if you’ll ever feel normal again. If that sounds like you (or someone you love), pull up a chair. You’re already family. 🤝 I’m Belle Morey—BS, CSAC, recovering disaster turned clinical substance use counselor, recovery coach, and the unfiltered voice behind Progress is Progress LLC. I built this Skool community because I got sick of watching good people shrink themselves to fit someone else’s tidy little “healed” box. I’ve lived the rock-bottom nights in the Northwoods. I’ve done the work. I’ve coached hundreds through it. And I’m done with the shame game. Here, progress isn’t about perfect streaks, gold-star checklists, or toxic positivity. It’s the millimeter wins that feel like miles. It’s showing up hungover, heartbroken, or just plain tired—and still hitting “post.” It’s venting the ugly truth, celebrating the tiny victories, and knowing you’re never alone in the backslide. 💪 Whether you’re in active recovery, supporting someone who is, battling mental health alongside addiction, or just craving real talk that doesn’t sugarcoat a damn thing—you belong here. To every brave soul already in this crew (we’re over 120 strong and growing): thank you for making this space feel like home. Your honesty is the glue. If you’re craving connection that actually hits different—raw questions, zero judgment, real humans cheering you through the ugly-cry days and the quiet breakthroughs—this is your spot. No filters. No shame. Just messy, honest progress—one unglamorous, real-as-hell day at a time. Ready to dive in? - Drop your first honest post in the General Discussion. - Grab my daily unfiltered updates on Substack: progressisprogress.substack.com - Need one-on-one support? For now, I will just say that I love Jesus with all of my heart, body and soul and I have been to hell and back, but I’m a warrior for Jesus
