Blue Ice Alpine Draws.
Anyone using Blue Ice alpine draws? They look pretty cool.

I was thinking extending runners for cams and nuts. They can still be around your chest. They look easy to deal with. It’s interesting as an anchor, looks easy to equalize and I suspect it’s redundant. Mostly though I was thinking for extending cam placements.
What is your favourite type of climb?
Overhang, slab, dynos what do you like the most? Personally I like variety and a nice long route (if on rope) with balance focused movement and some try hard moves on a roof. I also love climbing on aretes!! What about y’all?

I love Aretes and exposed walls. I prefer long multi pitch, but around the 5.7 - 5.9 range so I can enjoy and not stress and waste all my energy early. I play the long game at my age and injuries.
Climbing Friends / Partners!
How did you find you climbing friends or partners? I get asked this question all the time. I met a lot at the gym, convinced friends and family to come with me and dragged any existing friends in as well haha. How did ya'll meet your climbing homies?

I joined 2 outdoor climbing clubs, Wasatch Mountain Club and Ogden Outdoor Climbers. They post weekly climbs and anyone is welcome to come and climb. We go places where you can lead, top rope, sport and trad. It typically has a little bit of everything and 5.7 - 5.13. Everyone has been super cool and egos are checked at the door and left behind. Sometimes I just want to top rope harder routes and not stress clipping draws. Everyone is happy to belay everyone. They also have lot’s of free clinics and trips to amazing climbing in Utah and surrounding states. This area is EPIC!!!
What is your grade and gym location?
Drop a comment letting us know what grade you climb, and where your gym location is! Then look through the other comments and see who you might want to connect with. There's no need for us to train alone so this will be an easy way to keep track of the different skill set we have in here!

Live in Northern Utah. I climb indoor at The Front in Ogden. I have about 200 outdoor climbs within 20 minutes of my house. Indoors I do 5.10 -5.11 and outdoor I like to lead 5.8 - 5.10. The 5.8’s feel much much harder outdoors. I prefer Sport multi pitch, but working on leading trad comfortably. Winter is coming so getting all my outdoor in, debating on ice climbing this winter.
Met another group member!
Forgot to take a picture but met up with @Cameron Purcell yesterday who kindly showed me his stomping grounds and some surfing skills! Rad!
