well, looks like we'll have to get our generator either rebuilt or buy a used one, as we still haven't been able to fix it. Prasie God we're pluggeds into pwer for the summer! Our new on demand water heater just stopped working ...could be because our solor has pulled in TOO MUCH power! Hah! we're not sure...| We've been asked to help with a marriage seminar our local church here is puttig on (super excited for that!) Slowly, as I can handle the work I have started prepping for us to replace our floor (it was ruined when our old water heater leaked for months without us realizing it)... Looks like I might have some worship opportunities coming up and I started physio therapy to get some mobility back! We've also been enjoying seeing the new baby in our lives! Our Sasha is doing so well with everything the nurses have showed her and I have no doubt, in the home she's living in now, that she is going to be a great mama! WHOOOFTA! That's the short version LOL And I probably missed some stuff but that's the general catch up :) Look, Life is going to throw us things that make us laugh, cry, feel frustrated or angry...it's going to throw us ALOT! Some things easy and some not so much...But praise the Lord we have a God who LOVES to partner with us along the way! Nothing is too hard for Him, and He WILL give us what we need to get through. Sometimes He gives us strength, sometimes endurance and sometimes, we can just fell Him smiling in the Spirit all around us. No matter what we encournter, good or bad, He's there and He's got your back! I'm sooooo thankful to be daughter of the most high who doesn't have to "freak out" when things get tough....I love that I can take a breath, thank Him for His presence, and move forward in confidence that "We've got this!". Have there been any situations lately that have either pushed you closer to Him or threatened to pull you away from Him? What was your strategy to bring yourself back?

Whatcha doin?

I took my kids to the library to pick up some new books. We went to play with the large chess set. I started asking Ruby (5) to arrange the pieces properly. One, to remind myself that I do know how to arrange a chess board and two so she could learn how. An unassuming woman in a nearby chair said, “I never learned how to play.” I thought, well it’s been at least 20 years since I played with someone but I’m sure I should share a few of the practical ways of playing. So I shared about how the pawns and the rooks move. I said when the rook makes it to the opponents side of the board they get flipped upside down and become a king. She said, “oh my goodness and he isn’t even royalty and becomes King!” She was fascinated by the process. I’m not clear on the transition but we started talking about how God has been present in her life since she was a child and she has a fascinating story. Her name is Shekiva. She reminded me that I am not forgotten by God. That even when unfortunate things happen to us, just like when they occurred to the prophets, they were faithful and walked along side of God as these things happened to them. It filled my heart with so much joy to know that the Holy Spirit would come and meet me where I am to show me his goodness and his mercy on my life.

We've made it as far as Kananasikis and are now trying to figure out where to go from here! Mom's church near Cochrane has been gracious enought to allow us a few nights in their parking lot this week and the view from there is spectacular! The weather isn't looking great for a few days and it will drop down to -6 or -7 and as much as this casino parking lot view has been incredible, it's SUPER windy here out in the wide open! It's about to get MUCH colder, and the furnace is already running ALOT! LOL might have to find some tree coverage. 🌲🌳 We're conisdering some campsite options at Ghost Lake, as it's sheltered by trees and we could be hooked up to power while it's still cold! The Lord will lead! He sometimes waits until the last minute but He's proven over and over that He WILL show up and He WILL reveal the way to go! How do you hear or feel Him when youre seeking direction? Let us know in the comments! For me He brings peace within my soul when I meditae on my options and the process happens with ease...(it's the waiting that's a big challenge right? 🤣) when I feel that peace, I know it's the right choice. It's important to pay attention to that inner voice or intuition, the Holy Spirit speaks quickly sometimes and the mind likes to get ahold of it and twist it LOL Keep it simple! Go with that initial feeling in your soul! And ASK God for confirmation if you're still not sure. He'll show you! Here's some images of where we're staying now!! It's difficult to keep disciplined in these transitional times when half of your life is packed away and there's new travel chalenges every day.
