The Obstacle is the way
When my son arrived, I fainted, and now the Dr.s had TWO patients. Blood and me don't mix well. My son was my obstacle (or so I thought). He would do the OPPOSITE of what you asked him to do, until you gave up. Only over time, did he teach me (without telling me) that "I" was the obstacle. The way I wanted to control the world outside of me before controlling the world inside of me. What obstacle has taught you something important?

Letting go of what parenting was supposed to look like — mine and everyone else's expectations. Once I put those down, I could finally see my child clearly!
Welcome Relic
A big welcome for @Relic Wessels from South Africa. Relic is his REAL name:) He is an (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) REBT specialist. You can ask him about it, but it is extremely effective behavior change stuff based in Modern Applied Psychology to improve lives. It works. He has worked with me, like these have also worked with me...Tina and Renée, and Jenny.

Welcome @Relic Wessels !
How much time do you dedicate to YOU?
It's so easy to get caught up in helping others, working, and a bit of entertainment. One question to allow us to see how healthy we are (not just physically, but mentally) is: How much time do I spend on me per day?

I used to never give myself time but now it is working practice.

@Andrew Nelson The conservatory is my safe space. It's become non-negotiable for me. Whether the house is chaos or finally quiet — that space is where I land back in myself.
How was the weekend?
My highlight was getting up early on Sunday morning for a run. It was cold, misty and there was almost no one around. I definitely had a "runner's high" afterwards to be able to say I had done my run and had energy for the day ahead. What good thing did you make happen this weekend, no matter how small.

We are currently experiencing a heat wave! Which makes a nice change from the grey and miserable! We had a BBQ at my sister's yesterday and went swimming today!
Clarity
What is it you are truly trying to accomplish? This is a good question for us to ask ourselves every month or so and have a written response we go to. How does/could this help you?
