Phrase of the Week: Love Week Te amo vs. Te quiero: What’s the Difference? In Spanish, both phrases mean I love you, but they are used in different contexts. Te amo: A deep, romantic love, often used for partners or very close family members. Te quiero: A more casual and affectionate way to say I love you, often used for friends, family, or a significant other in a lighter way.
