SunDay FunDay - What a Oh My past week!
This past week was an Oh My to say the least! 1. Our garage door derailed late last Sunday afternoon. Luckily, it happened just as we were opening it to get into the garage, so our car wasn’t inside. This allowed us to still run errands and go about our day without much disruption. Though I had to use a screwdriver to keep the door semi-closed. Called the home warranty people to schedule a repair. 2. On Wednesday, I noticed the freezer section of our refrigerator was warming up—first 2 degrees, then 5, then 10! I quickly moved all the frozen food into our garage freezer, thinking we’d avoided a mess. The fridge side seemed fine, so we went to bed planning to call the home warranty people in the morning. The next morning, the fridge temperature had jumped to 48 degrees! I rushed out for three bags of ice, grabbed our camping coolers from the garage, and moved all the food into them. Luckily, a tech was nearby and available, but the part he brought didn’t match. He had to return on Friday with two parts; the first didn’t work, but the second did, and the refrigerator came back to life. We did lose some food as melted ice water got into a few items, but overall, it was minor compared to what could have happened. What’s something funny or crazy that happened to you over the past week?

Not funny but exciting! My son took his first steps…after breaking his leg. He is 15 and has been using a knee scooter for the last 8 weeks. After 2 physical therapy appointments he took some tentative steps. Not back to walking yet, but on the way. The funny part is that I was thinking 14 years ago when he took he first steps, it meant him gaining some freedom and me losing some of mine (his twin sister and him liked to go in two different directions)…but this time, we are both regaining our freedom. Woohoo!
