Leave that place of trying to figure it out on your own, and return to your place of rest—that place of rest in the Lord. Set yourself, stand still, and look at how, over the years, He’s dealt bountifully, He’s dealt well with you and blessed you, even beyond what you deserve. No one knows, but He delivered you so many times. Remember all He has done and is doing in your life, and say the Lord has got this, too! He’s been kind and will be good, so rest. He’s faithful, so rest. It’s already done, so rest.

This lady and her twin sister hold a special place in my heart! The Lord used them to be a tangible manifestation of the Holy Spirit in my life as a middle schooler. They were strong in the church from a young age and weren't ashamed to share their faith! I remember the Caldwell twins telling me, on several occasions, "Now, Poopie (my nickname then), you know Aunt Elva wouldn't want you doing that!" I would immediately be convicted and mad all at the same time 🥰! But I thank God for loving me enough to want me to do what was right and sending the Caldwell sisters, until I got my own relationship with Him! So, help me welcome @Irene Caldwell!! My lifetime friend!!!

When our faith is being tested and tried, God's command does not change. He is still saying, be still. Be still. Be still. Be at rest. Remember the Lord our God. Remember His saving power does more than save our soul. The Lord is always saving us, delivering us and mightily rescuing us from seen and unseen danger. It is the Lord our God who fights for us.
