Luxury goods?? HMMM, in my research I find typically two reasons luxury goods, ie: cars, boats, furnishings, art..., are purchased. One being that it is something the purchaser really enjoys or sees financial growth potential and the other is "to impress others". The first one, enjoyment..., there is little of "one size solution fits all" because it's based on individual personal passion. They know the tools they need to pursue that passion and that journey is part of their enjoyment. The second one, to impress, may be easier to address as in order to impress there is many times the need to continue to re-impress. Hot sports car, ehh, after a month or so it's not that impressive any longer to the people they want to impress - time to move on! There is a strategic opportunity to rotate luxury goods among that class to keep the "impress" rate high. "Oh, you have a new Cigarette boat? Cool, let's go for a ride". Next month, move on! To these folks luxury goods have no emotional value and that is where the opportunity lies!
