Ranking Report #5 + Announcement
Last week, we were 387 Today we are 347. We jumped 40 places up. And moving upwards. So thanks to you all for your presence. We should break into the #300 soon. I've been thinking about the story and the development of it for the new year and honestly, I didn't like how I was doing things. So, I'm changing them a bit. That is why a lot of things were slow. I got a lot to learn.

Just 40 places ?
Morale necessity when you have hierachy
In Starship Troopers, society is simple: if you do your military service, even if it's against giant Arachnids, you become a Citizen. You gain the right to vote, to have children, etc. Otherwise? You remain a Civilian, without any real powers. It's a strange society, though, where throughout, people never questioned the reason for the attack on the Arachnids. Kinda similar to some armies we can find around the world where soldiers are asked to do questionable things and they don't reject the orders. I always found it fascinating in the least. Will you reject an order if they ask you to do something contrary to your values ?

@Saikou Barry Morality always leads to win situations. It is only hard in the moment to make the right choice.

The Metabarons - Comic Discovery # 03
The Metabarons saga, born from the cult universe of The Incal, is an epic and tragic fresco exploring the genealogy of a caste of ultimate warriors. Written by Jodorowsky and illustrated with masterful brushstrokes by Juan Giménez, this work appropriates the conventions of Greek tragedy to depict a lineage condemned to misfortune, where each son must mutilate and then kill his father to succeed him. Beyond the galactic battles and cybernetic aesthetics, the narrative offers a profound reflection on hybridity and hubris (excessive pride). By subverting the stereotypes of the action hero in favor of tortured characters often enslaved by their emotions, the series delivers a critique of confinement within tradition and violence, thus establishing itself as a complex and essential pillar of modern science fiction. Here is my choice @Stephen Stone-Bush, @Malik Lafia and @Phéçale Lafia

That sounds amazing. I like the artistic vision. And also, this tradition between father and son. The rapport to their bodies. They show that you gotta sacrifice something to get something better.

@Carmel Raff The pages are well made. Especially the facial expressions. I can feel the disgust, the fear, the pain or the joy.
La horde du contrevent - Comic Discovery # 02
So I have been chosen by @Stephen Stone-Bush to present a scifi comic. And I chose "la horde du contrevent". [The Horde of counterwind in english]. The work is originally a series of books by a French author Alain Damasio. But, I'm specifying the comic version. Take a look @Phéçale Lafia [ You can write and then make a comic]. The story takes place on a planet (or strip of land) swept by a constant, violent, and cyclical wind that blows from a point called the Far Upstream to the Far Downstream. Society is entirely structured around this wind. We follow the 34th Horde, an elite group trained from childhood to walk against the wind to its supposed source. No one has ever succeeded in 800 years.
