__TL;DR__ I got sick and had surgery. My business stopped because everything runs through me. I let people down. I am fixing it with 2 things: simple systems and real relationships. __THE FULL POST__ I had surgery on July 23. For almost a month before that, I felt sick and did not know why. If you saw me stop posting here in Skool, this is why. Here is the worst part: My business did not just slow down. It stopped. Here is the part that really bothers me. @Tola O, @Darius Davis, and @Ayo Omoloja asked me for a custom lead list. So did some other people I’ll tag in the comments. They asked. I went quiet. That is a terrible way to treat people. I did not forget them. The problem is this: every part of my business still runs through me. When I went down, the whole thing went down. Now I am healing after surgery. So I might as well fix my business while I fix my body. If I grow even 1% from this, that is a win. From my couch, I wrote down what broke. Two things keep a business moving when you can’t: 1. The systems you build before you need them. 2. The feelings you give people before you need them. _______________________________________________________ 1. THE SYSTEMS YOU BUILD BEFORE YOU NEED THEM _______________________________________________________ I talk about “Five Automation Loops” a lot. That sounds like fancy words. Here is what it really means. An “automation loop” is one job in your business that keeps going when you are not there. One job that happens the same way every time. No you. No button. Here are mine in simple words: Outbound Prospecting – finds the right people, so I don’t start each day with a blank screen. Impression Stacking – keeps the people I care about seeing me, so I feel familiar before I ever ask for anything. Ghost Detection – shows me when someone goes quiet, so I don’t lose them. Inbound Lead Capture – catches people who raise their hand, so they go into a system, not my brain.
