SSA Message: Release What You Cannot Control
There comes a moment in your life and your growth when the greatest peace you will ever experience comes from one simple decision: to release what you cannot control. Not because you are weak. Not because you are giving up. But because you are finally wise enough to understand what belongs to you and what never did. Most suffering does not come from what is happening. It comes from trying to manage what was never yours to hold: • other people’s choices • other people’s timelines • other people’s emotions • outcomes you cannot predict • situations already unfolding And the truth is: control is often just fear wearing a mask. At SSA, we practice something deeper than control. We practice trust, regulation, and release. Release does not mean you stop caring. Release means you stop gripping. Release means: • You still show up with love • You still move with intention • But you stop forcing what refuses to flow Because what is meant for you does not require tension to arrive. 🌿 What You Can Control Bring your energy back to what is yours: • your breath • your nervous system • your response • your boundaries • your focus • your presence This is where your power lives. 🌿 A Simple SSA Practice (Today) Pause for a moment. Take one slow breath in through your nose. Exhale gently through your mouth. Ask yourself quietly: “What am I holding right now that is not mine?” Name it. Feel it. Then softly say: “I release this.” Do not force the feeling to leave. Just loosen your grip. 🌿 Remember This You are not here to control life. You are here to experience it consciously. When you release what you cannot control, you make space for clarity, ease, alignment, and unexpected support. And often, what returns to you after release feels lighter, clearer, and more true than before.

🌿 Today’s Forgiveness Workshop — Integration Space
Today’s workshop was quiet, deep, and incredibly sacred. We chose not to record it — intentionally. Sometimes healing asks for privacy. Sometimes the body only speaks when it feels safe enough to be unseen. Today we moved gently through forgiveness not as a concept… but as an experience in the body. We: • Sat with what was ready to be released • Felt where it lived within us • Met it without judgment • And with tenderness… cut the energetic cords that no longer belonged to us We allowed the past to remain where it is — not erased, not denied — but released with grace. Then we created space. Space to choose what we now welcome. Space to witness a new internal narrative forming. Space to meet the future self who already knows we are free. ✨ If you were present today, this is simply an integration space. No pressure. No expectation. No need to explain anything. If you feel called, you may share: • A word • A feeling • A shift you noticed • Or simply a ❤️ to honor your process And if silence feels right — that is also part of the work. I am deeply grateful for the trust in the room today. This is what Soul Shift is about. With love, Nekesha 🤍

Desiderata
Good Evening SSA Fam! I felt the need to share a poem, one that some of you may already be familiar with. I was first introduced to it as a child, when my parents kept it prominently posted in our den. I remember practicing reading it aloud—at the time, I didn’t really understand its meaning. I was simply proud to make my way through all the words. LOL Over the years, this poem has stayed with me, and I’ve come to love it deeply because, for me, these are truly words to live by—principles I return to and need to be reminded of every now and then. As I’ve grown, its meaning has unfolded in deeper and more meaningful ways, and I find myself returning to it whenever I need perspective—a reminder of what truly matters. I was drawn today to re-read it as I searched for a way to help restore peace within my soul, considering what has been happening here in the U.S. I hope that it may offer you even a small measure of the calm and reassurance it brings me, and that its words might help quiet your own moments of angst or disappointment, just as it does for me. 😊 Desiderata by Max Ehrmann Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.

@Rayna Grant This is so profound and timeless- Thank you! This poem is a gentle reminder to treat ourselves with kindness and love, and above all, to remember that we belong in this universe. We are God’s children, here to radiate divine light and peace.
