You lose the habits that once comforted you.The patterns that once defined you.The people who only knew the smaller version of you. And here’s the part that hits — Even if that life was limiting…even if it was exhausting… It was familiar. And your body…grieves the familiar. THE DAY’S CORE SHIFT: Growth doesn’t just expand you — it separates you. DEEP CONNECTION POINT: There is a quiet grief that comeswhen you no longer fit into your old identity. You can’t think the same. You can’t tolerate the same. You can’t shrink to make others comfortable anymore. And that creates space. But most people don’t hold that space. They rush to fill it — by going back. Back to old habits.Back to old thinking.Back to who they used to be. Not because they want to — but because the loss… feels too uncomfortable to hold. CLEARING PRACTICE: Close your eyes. Feel what you’ve already outgrown. The version of you…the patterns…the people…the identity. And instead of resisting it—acknowledge it. I wanted to take a moment for you all to say that I am deeply sorry for not showing up over the past week. Regardless of what is happening here that is unfair on you all. So for this week I will probably be taking some time to breathe and reset and appreciate each and everyone of you for your patience and understanding. What a wonderful day to be alive and thriving. Today is a reminder that even through our sacrifices and challenges, purpose and hope can still be true. For some (the tiny humans in our lives) it's about the chocolate but for many it's the true reminder of the purpose of life. And for others it's bracing for what's next and the not so happy memories, it's the homeless out in the cold, it's the violence in homes and around the world, it's the financial pressure. It's also a day that invites us to pause and reflect on what truly matters in our own lives Not the rush and hustle and bustle. Not the stress. But the moments that fill our hearts… family, love, peace, and gratitude. Life was never meant to be lived on autopilot. It was meant to be experienced fully, with intention and appreciation for every blessing along the way. Today, take a moment to slow down, be present, and honour the gift of life itself.
