Howdy 🤠
... from Fort Myers, FL! I'm a design studio owner of 20+ years, busy shipping great work, looking for NEW work, and sorting out how AI fits into the whole mix. Kevin and I connected through my newsletter and did a fun video interview swap about a year ago. Looking forward to learning more from his mad-ninja-copywriter-ai-wizard skills! [ It's been a minute, @Kevin Hood! Definitely had to come check out your community. Amazing to see what you've been building. Thanks for the invite! ]

Hey Michele, super glad to have you here. I've recently rebuilt my website completely using AI / Code instead of wordpress and I'm pretty happy with it. Would love to see how your design work is evolving with it as well. What are mainly looking to improve copy for?
Against my nature!
I am a regular rule-breaker so consider this high praise, @Kevin Hood, that your CTA worked to get me to introduce myself so quickly! I run two businesses, first as a loud and proud romance author who writes open door love stories. And second as an author coach who specializes in supporting pre-published romance writers in publishing their first and early novels in a small, Circle-based community. This is the third community I've launched and the one I love the most since I get to work with kick ass women who, like me, understand that romance is a genre of social change (I spent 25 years as a community-builder for Canadian socially progressive not-for-profits). I hope to learn interesting, new-to-me marketing ideas from folks outside of the authorsphere.

Amazing. I've just checked, and it turns out you're a best selling author. Great work. Glad to have you here. What are your current marketing channels for your community?

Sounds awesome Sean. Are you currently working for yourself or building on the side?
Introduction. Hello Everyone!
I am Christina Hooper, I was born with a work ethic and have worked in laundries, kitchens, people’s homes (as a carer), offices, prisons to name a few! Last October I left full time work in a residential home with autistic children, which I loved, to concentrate on my therapy work, which is very slow in building up. Started working in direct selling with Nuskin, ( health and beauty including PrysmIo) but I’m not great at marketing, though I am learning. I have been a writer for a long time and had articles published. Working on my book. I can speak from lived experience about living well as we grow older and would like to develop my mailing list in this area. A supporter of lifelong learning, especially for myself! Pleased to be here.

Welcome Christina. Sounds like some great work you're doing. As a writer and a therapist, what kind of business are you hoping to build?
Greetings from "war torn" Portland Oregon
My name is Frank and I'm from Chicago. I love photography, karaoke, hiking and cinema. As far as online experience, I've made local business promo videos and did video SEO to get the videos ranked higher than the client's website for their desirable keywords. I've also done eBay on the side for many years but both of these gigs were part time. Writing product descriptions whet my appetite for becoming better at copywriting and it was rewarding to see my efforts translate into higher than average sales compared to the competition. I'm excited to be here because Kevin has clearly conquered the whole work-life balance thing, and while I'm eager to make the transition from punching a time clock to being my own boss, I want to avoid creating the common trap of creating a job for myself that's even more demanding of my time than a 9-5. I made that mistake with a brick and mortar business a few years ago and have zero interest in repeating it. To this end I'm eager to learn how to leverage technology to scale my efforts and also how to create marketing assets that can serve me more than once.

This is downright amazing Frank. Glad to have you. Are you looking to do more copy / marketing work for others or yourself? (or both...) What's happening in Portland that I don't know about? Cheers. Thanks for being here.
