I wanted to give an update since trying the free ebook sites. I did one with Freebooksy and one with Fussy Librarian. The first brought in about 250 downloads, and the second just over 500. I haven’t had any paperback sales from them yet, but I’m still hopeful. Unfortunately, I did get a couple of not-so-great ratings - one 2-star and one 3-star. I have no idea what didn’t land for them since it was just a rating. Even though I know this is part of the process, it still felt like a gut punch. It definitely shook my confidence. I’m trying to remind myself that it is still early, but it’s hard, especially now that one of my books is sitting at a 3.3 average. I am about to finish the illustrations on my first book and plan on selling on Amazon KDP. I plan on buying my own ISBN, is that the preferred move? I am also considering setting up an LLC to operate and sell under. Are other folks doing that or just selling under their own name? Thinking the LLC would be a good option, as I hope to write more books in my series. Let me know what you are doing. Thanks!
