🟰 Inside Lane 🟰
💰Here is a money drill designed to refine your bat path, improve spacing, and enhance the direction of your. The ultimate goal? To consistently hit through the inside half of the ball and drive it through the big part of the field **Drill Overview:** 1️⃣ Set Up Your Path - Put sticks, bats or markers way inside to create a visual path for your swing. - This setup helps you focus on creating space and maintaining a consistent hand and barrel path through the sticks. 2️⃣ Focus on the Inside - The drill emphasizes an exaggerated feel of getting to the inside of the ball and driving through it. - Avoid opening up your shoulders prematurely, which can cause you to swing around the ball. 3️⃣ Maintain Spacing and Direction - Keep good spacing with your body and ensure your hand path is directed correctly. - This helps the barrel follow through naturally, promoting true ball flight back to the middle of the field. ❌ Avoid Common Mistakes - Steer clear of side-to-side movements that lead to hooks, topspin, or flares. - Focus on hitting the ball with a clean, direct path to maintain control and power. ✔️ Variations to Try - Bottom Hand, Top Hand, and Two-Hand Swings - Practice with each hand separately and then together to build strength and coordination. - Incorporate Different Tosses - Use off-angle tosses, overhand throws, and machine work to challenge your consistency and adaptability. By incorporating these elements into your practice routine, you'll develop a more consistent and adjustable swing. Remember, consistency, so keep working on your spacing and direction to master your bat path!

☑️ Hitting Principles: Discipline 🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏼‍♂️🧘🏼‍♀️
✔️ Discipline isn’t just about what happens at the plate—it’s about the totality of who you are as an athlete and a person. If you want to perform at a high level consistently, discipline must be at the core of your approach. Here’s why: 1️⃣ Discipline Builds Strong Routines and Processes • Successful hitters prioritize preparation through routines. • They trust their process, which allows them to perform with consistency and confidence. 2️⃣ Off-Field Discipline is Just as Important • Taking care of your body through sleep, nutrition, and recovery impacts performance. • Emotional discipline helps you handle the highs and lows of the game. 3️⃣ Discipline Keeps You Mentally Clear • A disciplined approach allows hitters to: • Stay focused on their game plan. • Make quick adjustments to the pitcher. • Avoid being reactive and overly emotional at the plate.% 4️⃣ Undisciplined Hitters Make the Game Easier for the Pitcher • Emotional swings and lack of preparation lead to inconsistency. • Discipline helps you stay one step ahead, even when the game gets tough. 5️⃣ Discipline Builds Long-Term Success • It creates good habits that carry you through slumps and challenges. • It ensures you’re constantly learning and improving from mistakes. 6️⃣ Coaches and Scouts Value Discipline • Maturity and a strong understanding of the game stand out. • Discipline shows you’re serious about playing at the next level. 7️⃣ Motivation Gets You Started, Discipline Keeps You Going • Motivation fades, but disciplined habits are what keep you consistent and growing. 🏁 Final Thoughts: Discipline isn’t a skill you’re born with; it’s a choice you make daily. Start small by building routines, focusing on the controllables, and holding yourself accountable. Over time, discipline will separate you from the competition and help you become the best version of yourself—on and off the field. 💬 What’s one area where you can show more discipline this week? Drop your thoughts below!

✔️ The new year brings new opportunities to chase your goals and take your game to the next level. Whether you’re working toward earning a scholarship, getting more playing time on varsity, improving your performance at the plate, or building on the momentum you already have, 2025 is your year to show up, put in the work, and make it happen. Here’s how we’re going to attack 2025: 1️⃣ Set Clear, Intentional Goals • What’s the ONE thing you want to accomplish this year? Get specific and make it measurable. • Write it down, visualize it, and let it fuel your focus. 2️⃣ Take Small, Consistent Actions • Big wins are built on small, daily efforts. • Are you showing up for your drills? Staying on top of your routines? Sticking to the plan? • The process doesn’t just lead to success—it IS success. 3️⃣ Build an Unshakable Mindset • Challenges will come, but your response will define you. • Focus on controlling what’s in your power: effort, preparation, and attitude. • Stay in the moment. Trust the work. Detach from the outcome. This year isn’t just about achieving goals; it’s about becoming the kind of person who makes those goals happen. And the best part? You’re not doing it alone. 💬 Drop your 2025 goals in the comments below! ☑️ Hitting Principles: Direction ➡️
One of the most critical pieces of a great swing is direction. Good direction helps hitters with: ✅ Timing – Staying on plane with the pitch for longer. ✅ Plate Coverage – Handling all parts of the zone. ✅ Adjustability – Making last-second adjustments on tough pitches. ✅ Power – Driving the ball to all fields with intent. The Problem Hitters often try to swing too hard, sacrificing direction. What happens? ❌ You hook or pull pitches foul. ❌ You flare weak pop-ups the other way. ❌ You lose the ability to adjust late in the swing. These are signs that you’re cutting across the ball or coming out of your posture too soon. The Solution Focus on swinging with direction. This means: • Attacking the ball from the inside. • Driving through the ball, using the big part of the field. When you stay through the ball properly, you can: 1️⃣ Cover pitches in more quadrants of the zone. 2️⃣ Drive the ball with consistent hard contact. 3️⃣ Become a hitter that’s tough to pitch to. Key Focus Work on staying through the ball with good direction: 🔹 Up & In: Stay tight, don’t hook. 🔹 Up & Away: Drive it to the gap, don’t roll over. 🔹 Down & In: Get under and through. 🔹 Down & Away: Let the ball travel, stay through it to the opposite gap. Good direction = good results. Stay committed to this part of your swing.
