As someone whoโs learning a language tooโEnglishโI know itโs not easy. No language is easy to learn. But it can be fun. If I could give you only one piece of advice, it would be this: Speak. Speak even if you donโt know the exact word youโre looking for. Instead of switching to your native language, force your brain to find another way to explain it. Describe it. Compare it. Use examples. Thatโs called paraphrasing, and itโs one of the most valuable language skills you can develop. Talk to yourself. Out loud. Tell yourself what youโre doing, what youโre going to eat, what your plans are for the day or the week. It may feel a little strange at first, but it works. Every time you learn a new word, donโt just read it once and move on. Repeat it. Create sentences with it. Think of different situations where you could use it. The more you actively use a word, the more likely it is to become part of your vocabulary. The goal is to train your brain to process, understand, adapt, and communicate. Making mistakes is part of learning. Every fluent speaker has made thousands of them. Sigue hablando!!
