Song of the Month?
I need your input! 🎶 If we picked ONE song to live with for a month… what should it be? I have a few simple ideas below that we could work on together, but PLEASE share something you'd all like to learn or grow deeper in the comments. YouTube links work the best!

@Miri L Okay sounds good to me! I'll leave this up so everyone has a chance to vote throughout the week. But so far it might just be Riptide or I'm Yours.

@Gary Lee That's a solid plan

Just ended up doing some work, showing a little preview of a course I'm working on next for you. Don't worry, it's FAR from over.

@Maria Tereza Goncalves I see, that's okay! ʻUkulele is really simple. It can obviously get really complex, but the basics are very easy. It's a good stepping stone to guitar as well. Whenever you're ready, we'd love to have you jump in! Ask any questions you have.

@Maria Tereza Goncalves I do know a bit about hoʻoponopono. There’s a lot of grifters out there that claim to teach it but it’s WAY off from what it actually is supposed to look like. For example, traditionally, no apologies nor forgiveness was ever required.
Mario, glad you’re here!
Aloha mai @Mario Henrique 🤙 I saw your Reddit post and I’m genuinely stoked you didn’t quit. We're here for you! We keep it simple in here (no random YouTube chaos). Go here first: pinned Start Here post → intro comment → Crash Course. Question for you: what are you trying to do when the “muscle memory” fails? Like during chord changes, strumming pattern, or fingerpicking maybe?
Mario, glad you’re here!

@Mario Henrique Ok, got it! That's actually a technically perfect way to approach it. However, it can be incredibly frustrating. Have you tried to keep playing all the way through, even with the mistakes?

@Mario Henrique That's good. I usually suggest a good mix of both. This sounds more like a finger dexterity issue to me, not just muscle memory. Check out #Drills/Exercises in the Classroom tab. The "Do this and you WILL get better" video has an exercise that's helping me even now to deal with similar issues I run into sometimes.

Shouted out by Sam Ovens 3x on Skool News! Played ʻukulele since I was 2. I help ʻukulele players escape the YouTube and guitar teacher traps.
