The Challenge of Scheduling📅📝📓🗓️
As I am learning how I can grow my Street Therapy community, I'm also learning how to navigate my own personal life. Currently, a street therapist (myself) is learning how to navigate his calendar, but there's more to navigating a calendar than just placing appointments and events. There's knowing when to set a time for yourself and sticking to it even when the outside world needs you...then a sense of guilt knowing you let someone down (even though you know it to be necessary at times)...which could have an effect of how you schedule for future planning. And then having to navigate cancelled or postponed appointments...or having to navigate being the one who has to cancel and postpone appointments and having to brace yourself for reactions that could be self-triggering... ...and so on and so forth... 😥😓😅 I pretty much mention all of this to ask this question: with all the work of having to keep appointments as well as all of the personal "work" that you have to do (making education content, putting videos together and/or editing them, etc.) and scheduling workshops and whatnot, what does one's calendar look like juggling various tasks possibly in various avenues of one's life? I guess I ask this in context of scheduling my time, but making sure I don't overdue it.🤷🤷🤷 I think I'm more so interested in people's inner meta-strategies as opposed to like a general view of one's calendar. What are different mindsets you approach your calendar with?

@Heather Boers I may do that! 💚💚💚 Thank you so much because as I'm working on trying to make content and sorting topics also of what my content is going to be about, I do still have to balance various habits of self-care and sometimes I have to measure my energy as well between myself and social priorities. I do like how you said your calendar is more for the commitment of other people because I'm curious how I'm going to start doing that with more one-on-one clients as my business and community grows. Again Heather, thank you so much for your insight and I may just find a way to better put that in the red light, green light question. 💚💚💚
🚨 What's Your Problem Wednesday
Calm down, I'm not yelling at you! 😅 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: Post your problem. A real one. 𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 you're stuck on right now in your business — not "I'm struggling with visibility," but the actual thing. The exact tool that's broken, the exact strategy you can't crack, the exact thing you've googled four times and still don't get. We solve it. Anyone in the community can jump in with real help — advice, a resource, "here's who you should talk to." 🚨🚨🚨 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗘 🚨🚨🚨 name it, don't link it...𝙮𝙚𝙩. If someone points you toward a tool, a community, a resource... great, they can tell you about it. But they don't drop the link 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘀𝗸 for it. You want it? Say so. That's it. That's the whole rule. Why? Because it turns "here's a link, bye" into an actual conversation. And because none of us have DMs unlocked until Level 7 anyway, so this keeps it all out in the open where everyone can benefit... not just the person who asked. I'll go first below to break the ice then .... your turn. What's your problem? 👇

@Verna Kauffman I'm going to make a rather terrible analogy, but hopefully this explains my answer to your question in a comprehensible way. I feel like I'm at the edge of a cliff with all of these parachutes behind me to keep me safe, but it's like the ground is only so far down and I have all these strings to parachutes, and I honestly don't know if any of them work, but I know they are all relatively lifesaving...except maybe a handful of them. I feel like if I was to take the leap, I'd be afraid of grabbing a string that didn't work and if I crashed before hitting the ground because I don't know if the string I grab would work, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to recover from my growth failure. Oddly enough, even as I type this, it's relieving in my mind, but it still feels...scary...even with my awareness. 💚💚💚

@Verna Kauffman That's actually a very beautiful way to view it. And honestly, that does help a great bit. If I may, the moreoverence of having to make a decision amongst the abundance of choices I think is probably the harder thing I'm dealing with. If you're familiar with the astrology culture, there's a peak around this time regarding the Barbault's Basket that it's in the sky (something well interesting to look up as I'm not entirely sure the planetary make up of this "basket") and something I saw in a video earlier was giving an insight that collectively (or the spiritually attuned...however that belief falls with you💚💚💚), we're to receive 2 different blessings regarding different aspects of our lives from the multitude of blessings that are supposed to come from this cosmic event. I mention all of this to say that over the next few days to weeks, whatever choices I have to make to move whatever is holding me back out of the way is more benevolent than not... but as you suggested, to take a bird's eye view of what's happening and take a really good gut assessment before making the decision... 😅😅😅

I know this probably isn't the right answer, but my personal #2 would be a great window view... especially if I'm staying on the 3rd floor up... 🪟🏙️🌆💚💚💚
