This is going to be interesting . . .
In reading what the Day 1 video is about, I saw the statement, "Stocks vs. gambling: Why it's NOT the same thing". I've always heard the stock market is a "casino". It will be interesting to see that from a different perspective.

You're not alone! that's what most people think! And honestly? If you're trading without understanding what you're doing, it CAN feel like a casino. But here's the difference: in a casino, the odds are stacked against you. In the stock market, when you know the fundamentals, the odds are actually in your favor. That's exactly what Day 1 is about understanding WHY it's not gambling when done right. Let me know what you think after watching it. Curious to hear if it changes your perspective!

@Phil Smith you got it!🔥
I knew this would get interesting, and on the first day!
Well, I finished the first video in the Classroom "STOCKS FOR BEGINNERS". So if I buy a stock, I can say I'm a business owner, even though it's partial. Cool. At 2:15 I see the chart showing "Equity", another word for ownership. I think of my house that I "own" because I have no mortgage on it or lien. But since the government can take that property back if I don't pay "property taxes" (a fancy phrase for "rent"), I guess I only have an "Equitable interest" in my house. Boy, first day in this Community and it's already getting interesting!

Love to hear that! That's exactly the right approach. More content coming your way, stay tuned! 🚀
Why your Portfolio is a mirror of you..
A portfolio is much more than just a collection of stocks—it reflects the investor’s personality, risk tolerance, patience, and beliefs. How you manage your portfolio reveals whether you prioritize comfort, excitement, conviction, or safety. It acts as a mirror, exposing your strengths and weaknesses, and showing whether you invest with discipline or impulsiveness. Ultimately, the market rewards consistent behavior over mere analysis, so your portfolio tells the story not only of the businesses you own but also of who you are as an investor.

@Phil Smith 😂 Better to have an empty portfolio than bad picks!
Ai and investing
Hello everyone. I am curious as when I watch youtube videos about analyzing stocks, etc...I always get to see videos in my feed about Ai and investing. Can Ai be trusted with your investments strategies/analyzing? I am on the fence on this one to be honest with you. Now what does Ai care of i lose my shirt and pants all at the same time? It doesn't know unless I tell it "hey Ai you broke me". I'm curious of the reply would be " Ops, sorry. Maybe next time we do better?" I think my PC would be across the street right now on the curb, not even my curb. SO my question and you can use the poll is do you use Ai for your investing/trading? ANd if you do comment what Ai you use, and what you use it for? Thank for everyone that takes the poll. As you I am also here to learn.

@Steven Smith I completely agree! AI should be an assistant, not the one making decisions for you.

@Phil Smith you can obtain good information asking the right questions
Looks like fun!
I went over "START HERE" in the Classroom and this looks like an enjoyable endeavor to get involved in. I'm retired so I'm not like someone much younger than me who will have different goals, and in fact, I really don't know YET what my goals should be. It seems incredible that if I put in the work that I could "have a deep foundation in company analysis and valuation" for starters. Sounds exciting. I'm starting Day 1. Are the other 9 days going to be created @Jack Pombo

Thanks @Phil Smith for you post! Here's the thing: every investor has a different style of investing their capital, and it all depends on your goals and risk tolerance. Some investors are aggressive – they're willing to take bigger risks for the potential of higher returns. Others are conservative – they prefer steady, predictable gains with less volatility. And there's a whole spectrum in between. Figuring out what kind of investor YOU are is important, and we'll explore that in a future class. But first? You need to understand the rules of the game. 😜 P.S. Yes, the other 9 days are coming! The idea is to add 5 videos per week.
