Family! I hope everyone enjoy their Thanksgiving. Tomorrow we are back at it for COPET Mastery Mondays, and boy do I have a fun topic for yall tomorrow. Tomorrow’s topic will be “Tone Shaping Through the Hands”, and I will be using two of my favorite pieces to explain the concept: Franz Liszt’s Libestraume no. 3 and Fredric Chopin’s Polonaise in A Major. Tone shaping is an essential part of learning piano through the COPET Method (Composer Oriented Piano Expression and Technique Method). After the masterclass I will be having an open Q&A session where you can ask me anything you want regarding repertoire, piano technique, piano mindset, and composition.
