If demons don't get a rewrite for their rules for 11th edition, plague legion will dominate the meta with their battle shock mechanics. In 11th, battle shock is not removed until you pass a leadership test, which is taken every command phase. Plague legion forces battle shock tests like no other army. One in each command phase, for a CP a second in your opponents command phase. Plague legion can also use another CP to force another. Sloppity bilepiper is a must take, he forces a battle shock to every non- monster or vehicle unit within 6" at the start of the fight phase. I take skull cannons, which force battle shocks up to 48" away, with their shooting. And there are several more units that force even more. Here's a short list of battle shocking demons. Sloppity bilepiper. Daemonettes Skull cannons Skull master The Changling The change caster ( infantry only) These all force battle shock in addition to the three that are part of the detachment rule. In the shadow of chaos, which expands to 9" around every Nurgle unit the roll is at minus 1. Blue horrors can make it minus 2. Pox bringer makes it minus 3 to the battle shock test. How can another army win if they're always battle shock!? Does your army have mechanics like this?

Yesterday there was an event that GW put out, where 3 games were played with the new rules. I am excited for this new edition and stacking the detachments. They did reveal that Ceramite Sentinels is a 3 point detachment, for the space marines. I didn't think there would be too many 3 point detachments. From what has been released so far I am extremely interested to see what I can do with Thousand Sons and Demons. Watching the games was very cool, when they actually focused on the games and didn't just talk over them. (GW sucks at streaming) I dig how each player will be playing a different mission based on the army they are playing. I just hope that there is enough variety to make each game unique and interesting and that armies like Orks aren't always playing purge the foe every single game, unless of course they want to. In order to celebrate 11th edition, I am thinking that I may do a give away of a Gift Card from a game store. It would likely be open to US citizens only, because I am not wanting to put the burden of international shipping onto anyone, from the game store that I will likely be working with. So here is what I am thinking. A $200 game store gift card for the person who invites the most people to this community before the official launch date. Would y'all be down to invite some people to play in here with us if we did this?
