More practice today.
Still can’t wrap my head around tacking. If I tack on the very sides I am fine. But if I tack about a millimeter from the side it just burns through. Settings are 120 amps 120hz 3 seconds post flow. 1/16 blue tungsten 1/8 aluminum. And I realize I went too cold in the second pic

Practice at my job. It’s hit or miss for me. Just gotta get really good at laying consistent bead every time I weld. Hood time is all I need.

@Brantley Reeves I kinda understand what you mean. Will give it a try. Thanks.
My 1st Scrap Art Work
I made a lil something for my dad to celebrate his 80th birthday. He was a machinist by trade. Completely made out of stainless except for the cap which is copper. I TIG'd the entire thing, including the copper cap. A big thanks to @Grant Pratt for the info he shared with me regarding TIG welding copper. Anyway, let me know what y'all think 🤔 😄

Whoa!!! That is really really good. You need to video your dad’s reaction and post it for us.

As many of you know i’m in the process of making some TIG welding courses for all of you. My priority for these courses is that they provide you more value than you pay for them but that they are also affordable enough that you can get access to them which can be tough due to the nature of this trade. I don’t want to price my courses too high and then you can’t afford the equipment you need. I asked what you could afford to pay for the course on its own and I appreciated your feedback back but i’m going to be adding some other options for getting access to the courses. Here are my current ideas. You will be able to get access to only the course for a one time payment. OR You will be able to pay a lower monthly price to get access to the course, discounts on material and equipment, and access to monthly or weekly Q&A calls with me. Please vote do you prefer a one time price for course only, or a lower monthly price with added features. If you want the one time price vote for “one time price”. If you want the lower monthly price with added features please select the price you could afford or would be willing to pay for the course and added benefits. The more you’re able to afford per month the more benefits I can provide to you. Thank you all!

I voted for a one time price. I have paid for two other tig courses and was unhappy with the purchase. I found more info on YouTube and realized I had made a mistake twice in buying courses when the info was readily and freely available in YouTube.. So if your complete course is something that can take me to professional level ( of course i put my effort into it) then I am all in. That should be the goal of your course as you mentioned. There is also a very good tig welder influencer that is selling his course but he is asking for a large amount for the course. I am sure he is well worth it, but I ended up buying an arc captain tig ac/dc for what he was asking for his course. Looking forward to your product. Very happy to see how hard working and dedicated you are.
