Need Help with Moving Light Adapters and Totem Stand
I bought 2 Shehds GalaxyJet LED 200W / 300W Moving Head Light Beam / Beam & Wash & Gobo 3in1 and thought they would fit on Rockville RTP82B 8 ft Adjustable Black Totem Moving Head Light Stand but the adapter on the light is a clamp style for a truss. See pic. Is there an adapter where I could replace the clamp style with a bracket that would work with either speaker mount or flat mount for the Totems? Or suggest a similar truss style mount that is mobile enough.

I would search for a “speaker pole mount adapter” and find one you think you can attach to the light

400 person High School Prom?
Sending a proposal on a 400+ student high school prom. Never done one before. Thoughts? Would you take it if price is right? What would you charge? Any tips on a successful event? Would be from 7-11pm. Based on that size I’ll need to rent a QSC system with subs. Proposing taking a photo booth as well. Totally ok turning this down if the price isn’t right or I hear from the collective groups that proms suck. 🤣

For events like this I normally pitch a price for sound only and then one for sound and lighting. For example, $250 per hour sound only. $300 per hour sound and lighting. For a dance like that they’re definitely going to want lights. Photo Booth price added on top of that. Yeah the LD Maui 44s will be good. I did a junior high dance with those speakers and it was rockin.

Just be prepared for A LOT of requests from the kids. I’d have some kind of streaming music available so you can just look up what they’re asking for

@Chris Kinsel the built in mic is pretty good. I do use this mic from the same company for any time I’m talking or doing like a vlog. Insta360 Mic Air Transmitter,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F7KS5BLD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share For audio from your actual mix, you’ll want to record that somehow. Either internally on your DJ software (like Serato) or an external audio recorder like a ZOOM. I just record my music mix in Serato and add it into my videos while I’m editing. The Insta360 camera does have editing software you use. You can edit on your phone with the app or on the computer (my preference). YouTube is your friend here so do tons of research before you drop the cash on one.

@Jad Driggers I record directly in Serato. The only problem is it won't let you record if you do any streaming services like Spotify or Beatsource. I'm considering getting an external recorder like a ZOOM.

@Francisco H Perez That's a lot of work haha, but probably worth it. Where do you post your mixes at?
