You choose what you share
You may want to explore something meaningful without being ready for someone else to read it. Try giving a page two jobs. First, write privately to understand what you mean. Then choose one sentence you might want someone else to receive. You can revise that sentence for a reader while keeping the rest for yourself. Having something to say doesn’t mean every word has to become public. At Something Is Stirring, you can write privately and choose what you share. Come with an idea, a question, or curiosity about what wants more room. Join us for this free workshop on Zoom. Thursday, October 22, 2026 10:30–11:30 AM PT Save your seat: https://pamelalynch.com/stirring What becomes easier to explore when you know you can keep it private?

I love it and can see ways to make it work.
Your Brain on Handwriting. Let's Write Together!
I enjoy discovering research that validates the benefits of writing by hand. A 2024 study in Frontiers in Psychology found that handwriting produces broader brain connectivity than typing, especially in regions linked to learning and memory. One more reason to pick up a pen! Through our co-writing sessions, I've also noticed how setting aside time to write together creates space to listen, explore ideas, and discover what wants to be expressed, without the pressure to produce something. Beginning today, our twice-weekly Sacred Writing co-writing sessions are moving into Premium membership for just $9/month. Inside Premium, you'll find: ✍️ Two live 30-minute co-writing sessions each week to write, reflect, and share our experiences. 📖 The Living Journal for ongoing inquiry, reflection, and exploration. You can experience both with a 7-day free trial. Whether you're developing a book, exploring an idea, or simply making room to listen to yourself, you're welcome to join us. What might become possible if you gave yourself two dedicated spaces each week to write without needing to know what would emerge? Join us in Premium and bring your favourite pen and notebook!

That’s so true, feel like we actually understand and see what we’re writing when we write it by hand because typing can go so fast that you’re just flying through something you don’t necessarily know exactly what you’re saying
Flower Power at Butchart Gardens
People travel from around the world to visit the incredible gardens in Victoria. We're visiting Butchart Gardens again today. I thought you might enjoy this video from July 2025. Where is the most beautiful place you've ever visited?

@Pamela Lynch my kids used to beg me not to walk down one path because of the skunk tree and if they didn’t they would have missed some beautiful desert flowers

@Pamela Lynch they are pretty gross. They smell like skunks.

I would have to say A-D. I think we all share similarities in areas of our lives and sharing our stories can make you be more empathetic towards other people and really get the quote you don’t know what they’re living with so don’t judge. I know that I have not forgotten what I learned at the children’s institute of writing years ago. I just put it in a file cabinet in my brain, so I can’t thank you enough @Pamela Lynch for unlocking the drawers in my brain file cabinet!
The piece you haven’t let go of
Open an old note, page, or recording you have kept. Read or listen without grading it. Mark one part that still interests you. Ask why you kept it. There may be a useful sentence, a question, or a memory worth exploring. You can keep that part without committing to the whole old project. “The part I still want to explore is…”

@Pamela Lynch it’s an amazing cemetery, and one that I thought about when I started writing my paranormal book

@Pamela Lynch I looked at it, and I was like it looks just like Bentley and except Ashley shaved all his hair off
